An Abandoned Village in Dorset

Tyneham Village, often called Dorset's 'lost' village, was evacuated in December 1943 during WWII for military training purposes and has remained deserted ever since. After the war, the villagers were not permitted to return. The village is now part of the Armoured Fighting Vehicles Gunnery School, a key training facility for the British Army. Only memories of its former residents linger.
