Did you not pour it cause the rain or was the boom pump hitting a power line or something? Just not really sure

A combo of things. The boom pump was arching near the power lines, the rain and humidity was magnifying the effect. Also it started raining hard and there was a risk of lightning. I called it off. Life safety is more important than money. 2 days later we used a line pump and had a successful pour.

@ yeah I get it. Atleast you were only on your first lift when you called it. Would of sucked having to tear it completely out and repour it all over

What kind of concrete company wouldn’t let you do an honest reschedule knowing that there’s risk of failure?

Yup totally sucks!!!!

Why wouldn’t the operator switch to line pump mode and just do it by line pump
@John-jt8mo24 күн бұрын
Sure you would have had to lay the hose all out but you would have got it pumped and kept the boom away from the power lines

It’s not up to the ready mix concrete company to cancel or reschedule orders it’s up to whoever is in charge of the project to call in and do that and once they load the trucks you are paying for them so you have to cancel before they load your trucks or your going to have to pay for them weather you use them or not it’s on you

Good decision. Also it’s nice to see someone posting the negative aspects not just the positives. Respect that.

Thank you brother! That’s what I try to do. We always end up great but man sometimes it’s a hell of a time getting there!

What is going on here? Why wouldnt you grab some plastic and keep pouring?
@johngioffrebuilds24 күн бұрын
Lighting and heavy rain, just too big a risk so I called it off.
