@@swss On a related subject. 2 weeks ago I forced the police to send an inspector out to the Old Kent Road. I took him for a 2 hour walk. It starts off with rampant red light jumping by cyclists. All next to a sign, did you see an acccident. Then we had the illegal e-bikes ridden by parents taking their kids to school, along the A2, on the handlebars, no helmets. Next, we have motorbikes on the pavement. Then, he's in uniform, and he gets worried about his personal safety. Literal tells me that. I had made the "have you done your health and safety assessment" joke at the start. So we shall see. Will he get some of that £150 million a year red route policing money for a few operations? On the motorbike thieves. A roll of cargo strapping, weight at the end. Find a very busy junction they use. Throw that into the spokes and they are forced to stop as it wraps itself round the spokes and forks. Far safer than running them down. Will they try my plan?

The first is an example of why powerful SUVs should not be allowed in London. All that weight and speed, so easy to be abused, so easy to kill. Plenty of good drivers about but drivers like him necessitate the need for it. People are literally dying.

You have not heard of primary position and why the highway code encourages riding side by side in cases like that? The code clearly explains why it is easier for motorists to get past when clear, and safer for the cyclists. I will not bother to explain it if anyone replies, just look it up. PS. those "mamal" guys in good shape - prime advert for cycling. I wonder if they caught you up at the next lights? And may zip past in that moment, but in a jog down the street, who would have the flab flapping about lol ?

As a cyclist I am well aware of the benefits of cycling and well aware of the Highway Code in relation to cyclist positioning however it also states that they should ride with courtesy towards other road users that they may be holding up by letting them past this is something that is usually forgotten by cyclists when putting forward the argument that they can cycle two a breast or more. You could easily argue that there was a distinct lack of courtesy to other road users by taking up both lanes. Just saying you can do something doesn’t mean you should or that you have the moral high ground in doing it. I view the 29th of January 2023 as a particularly bad day for road users in the UK. The legislation that came in to force that day entitles many road users to make very bad decisions thinking that they are protected by the legislation., that’s not just cyclists it’s pedestrians and motorcyclist that think they have the right to push their way in front of large vehicles because they are a more vulnerable road user that’s my balanced view on the subject and yes, I do believe that the cyclists were intentionally blocking both lanes because they knew they could not because they needed to do so.Had they only taken up one lane, the clip wouldn’t have been put on my channel.

Two abreast is fine but one lane is just courteous. Same with any other vehicle, either overtake or tuck in behind to allow faster traffic to pass. That doesn’t mean the cyclist should sacrifice safety so impatient road users can pass but when there’s two lanes you really can’t argue that any pass is unsafe.

The group of cyclists were stopped at a red light. As there must be balance in all things they had no choice but to block people going left and hold up the traffic.

I knew you’d take the bait and run with it ! Well played sir! It’s the guy in the middle that has a wheel in each lane that made me laugh. I cut the sound but the original video has a load of clunking noises as all their cycling shoes clip onto the pedals 🤨 unfortunately they held the Olympic cycling here and now the weekends are spent going everywhere behind a peloton of useless f#@kers blocking the road, all pretending they’re Chris sodding Froome
