It's also good to point out Rin's development here. You wouldn't have thought how she can come to a "depressed" state knowing she was so reliable and somehow felt that she got things under control with her life in seasons 1 and 2. The movie really encapsulates how adult life changes you no matter how good you are when you were young.

Okay I'm glad I wasn't the only one dreading Chikuwa's heavily foreshadowed potential death. I'm glad our boi stuck around. I liked the ending, but I did wonder "Wait, who's going to work at the new site?"

I think the team that was shown in the credits will be doing that. Probably with some locals helping out

Since it's technically under both the tourism board and the historical society, I think those entities would help with staffing it.

I spent 10 minutes thinking about that after finishing the movie I figured that if somehow the girls ended up running it I don't think it'll make a better substitute for their current jobs And as the others said it'll be mostly some staff hired by the tourism board

I started on watching Yuru Camp two weeks ago, and watched the movie last week. On the final bit during the construction and the campsite finally done, i was full-blown smiling. So was i during the credit montages. But then, after the final shot of them five witnessing Diamond Fuji, my tears just went out like a waterfall. It was honestly really amazing seeing all of them finally getting together after all of that hard work and suffering, and finally watching the sunrise above Mount Fuji on the place that they worked on for over a year. It was amazing. The BGM was amazing (frankly the final song probably contributed too to my tears). The animation is C-Station Yuru Camp (i mean i like S3 Yuru Camp but it has a LOT to work on but i digress). So yeah. It's an easy Shimarindango/10 for me.

Good review sir. I happy to know there is a review of this movie in english. That melancholy part hits different in Yuru Camp, 'cause i never thought a serious conflict in Yuru Camp (even though i thought Chikuwa is no longer exist in first place 'cause it's a long time since anime-time era). The cancellation of the camp site and the school building that will be gone forever (and when Aoi tell "uso ya de" to hide her sadness, definitely not a funny side of "uso ya de). And Mimosa by Sasaki Eri-san really fits the atmosphere of the girls in this movie-time.

Ready to make the movie my final examination for both my design class AND thesis! Edit: I just watched the movie with my Yuru Camp best friend and my students. 9/10. Definitely a movie that shows adulthood at its best and worst. And that there's always another time to go camping.

There was a solid bit of "2 hour Yuru Camp episode" feel to this film, except Tateyama got a full orchestra to play with rather than a compact bluegrass and folk band. I liked how they weaved in the effects of public policy and the declining population, because those were the "antagonists" of this story; and the way the characters solve the conflict (win-win) is probably unrealistic, but still a brilliant way to move forward with their dream. 13:15 "They'll never acknowledge it" Maybe not directly in this movie, but it is a regular topic on the national news. There are a lot of schools in the sticks with just a handful of students because of the declining birth rate, and the postwar baby boom era schools are simply too large to maintain.

Yuru camp is one of my favourite shows but couldn't bring myself to watch the movie because it'll make me sad seeing it end. Also i don't like how we just time skipped to adult life but that's just me. I would rather maybe have a 3rd season that ended them just being all together rather than them sorta separate bc they're adults
@Yuri-Camp

what youd rather have is right. there is a 3rd season coming like normal (there is no time skip). the movie is not even canon to the manga at all. if just a "what if" kinda thing just for the fun of it

I finally got to see the movie. Being a long-time fan of the series (and its healing qualities) I have to give it 10 out of 10. I am obliged to do so. However, here comes my negative take. And yes, I realize I should not even be typing what I am about to type. Part of me is screaming not to type this (you traitor)! The movie was too long. Yuru Camp is meant to be digested in small chunks. Even if you watch it in 2 or 3 mini-episode increments...the watch time should never exceed 1.5 hours. Next, there was no need for this movie to be made. I never wanted to know what the future of the friends would be. That is simply too depressing. Obviously, they would get older (depressing), be integrated into society (depressing), have more responsibilities (depressing), etc. I also got the impression they were all around 40 years old. I thought I saw some grey in their older women hair styles. They even complained about back issues. Super depressing! My main point is, I never wanted to see them age. It's so contrary to the feelgood nature of the series. In addition, I felt the movie needed more humor. A lot more humor. I just felt like the inclusion of exaggerated humorous scenes would be the only counter to the depressing aspects of the film. That being said, I absolutely loved the movie. I liked the plot with the archeological dig, I liked the jobs they had, the return of the scooter, all that. Yes, I was fanboying out the entire time. It's frickin' Yuru Camp, what do you want me to say? The franchise literally carries itself. So in summary, I loved the movie, and will now proceed to bury my traitorous negative thoughts under my positive memories of this awesome film. 10 out of 10 all day.

It's not really a comedy like Lucky Star and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, Yuru Camp is Iyashikei,i understand if it's boring to you,cause yuru camp doesn't really have a story,a goal, its just about this 5 girls camping in and their life, literally Slice of Life but CGDCT, People watch this because of this calming effect,like no conflict at all,pure relaxation and stuff

OK, I will give a comment before kadokawa comes to destroy all your life work and dreams, but at the least you have learned a lesson from this movie, unlike those corporate overlords First, WOW you are a fast, I've seen this movie just a cupple of hour before this video came out Second, I have not noticed the pine cones not greeting Shimarin at the beginning Third, can't avoid thinking that this movie would have hited harder if it was released a couples of years after... but i guess they were afraid of the franchise being forgotten or something if they take too much
@SatumitheNeet
@SatumitheNeet Жыл бұрын
The franchise doesn’t have the legacy power of Dragon Ball so it’s expected they would want to capitalize on its current popularity in Japan. Unfortunately outside of Japan it’s pretty much forgotten since Crunchyroll abandoned the Yuru camp community during the off seasons

I'm a fan as well and saw the movie. The long form of a movie does not work well with a semi-boring story that is too long, and the vistas were not as nice to look at (my fav is the autumn leaves and lake episode, then the nighttime towns). The episodes where they took a long trip to visit many tourist sites would have made a good and interesting movie in comparison. I don't rememeber hearing their best music that has the whistling sound in it. I enjoyed "Do It Yourself" this anime season and I bet you'll like that show since you like this one.

Actually it's not Crunchyroll that takes down yuru camp videos. If anything they would allow it. It's the Japanese copyright law firm that was hired to enforce Yuru Camp copyright overseas. But Crunchyroll did have a hand in killing the Yuru Camp community outside of Japan.
