2:50 as a ptera player who likes to land on trees, always walk before trot. before you fly, make sure you are in z-walk so you dont launch yourself off of drops. the walk is nice and slow and makes it safer to W + Ctrl land

the landing on trees seems so random, like when i land on them im not even on the trunk im literally floating in air beside the tree.......

I experience this as well. I believe that’s just a design issue, the hanging animations is a bit flat for the usually round trees. Trying to center myself to the tree gives me the best landing results

does anyone know if landing on trees still works? ive tried it on a tree many times but i slide of every time, almost like the top of trees is pointy

no matter what i do, i cant seem to get my thumb mouse button to airbrake when i change the control to it. It just does nothing

Pretty sure if u set a macro profile with the keys2input program set a key u like and then try binding it after might help u resolve the issue ur having specially if does the same in other games

You can still do that. With the controls i suggest you have much better control over the ptera and you can control your speed with airbrake and turn and fight.

Hey man, for some reason when flying, I can't free look. Anytime I hold left alt and go to turn my view, it turns my entire body. Any tips or know how to fix that?

you shouldnt need to hold alt to free look. just move your mouse. to control with the mouse you should have to be pressing down w.

yes. you dont need to hold w, you can just glide and use s and d. you can do both but its situational.

Did they remove landing in palm trees in update 5?

So yes and No. I can land in some of the palm trees but most you glitch through. I have not been able to distinguish the visual difference on the palm trees you can land on and the palm trees you cant. But all stubbs and normal trees Are still landable.
