The kitchens look good. But my biggest problem with them is them is the service gap at the back of cabinets being only 40mm rather than 60 -70mm. You can’t get a waste pipe through!. Also only 560mm deep rather than the standard 575mm makes it very tight for integrated appliances to fit. I would recommend them to customers more if it wasn’t for the issues mentioned
@SkillBuilder8 ай бұрын
Hi Peter. You make a good point but they do it so the kitchens can be fitted in a tight space. If you need that extra bit it is very easy to pack the base units out with the adjustable spacers. I have spent more time trimming backs than packing out.

I used these for my house back in 2017, went up to their showroom first to have a look at the build quality before taking the plunge The only criticism I've got is that the paint is starting to come off in a few places, my wife doesn't use anything abrasive when cleaning the units so I know it's not anything that we are doing wrong

You need to tell your wife to scrub them units much harder. She's clearly not doing her duties right😠

Not a fan of all that particle board, will generally not last. Built my own cabinets with pliewood. I heard the high end kitchens also use particle board or mdf but it gets sealed completely in the factory, so no gaps anywhere. 😊

That outside tap install was awful... drilling inside out, no isolator, drain point and outside taps with built in double checks are not to spec on new installation
@SteveHit18 ай бұрын
Excellent workmanship (apart from the outside tap - but we all get minor faults in a big job!) However, I was struck by the lack of dust extraction when using power tools, which I think is pretty bad nowadays! Time for the crew to buy Festool? 😀

I've just completed a fairly large DIY Kitchen install, no problems with the quality, or fitting minimum spend is £750 and you will need that order number to reorder extras or computer says no. The only thing to be very wary about is delivery, I ticked the box that their lorry could get down my road which it can as I can get articulated 40 ton lorries down my standard London street, the day of delivery the driver rings up and says he's sending the order back as his lorry is to big, resulting in a massive disappointment and sullied the whole deal. It was eventually sorted out. I then ordered extra units a few months later & driver had no problem delivering with DIY Kitchens largest lorry. Would I order again? Yes but be very wary of delivery as they cram lots of kitchens on one large lorry. contact them beforehand be prepared to pay extra for delivery.

When posting a video on KZbin one is required to tick the box if you have been paid. Donated goods also counts as Paid Promotion. Not every KZbinr complies but we do and you will see that KZbin has flagged this video as paid promotion at the very start. It is not an advert because the information given in this video is not limited to any particular kitchen and there is no editorial input from DIY Kitchens. We chose this kitchen because we have used DIY KItchens in the past and cannot fault their products, prices of service.
