Because the land belongs to the KING of the tribe or area. 2. You will never own that land but you can lease it from the KING. 3. This is a under developed location that the King of the area wants to build up into a village, city, or township with stores and so forth, so these 1, 2, or all 3 of them ask to have a meeting with the King and told the King that he they could bring people from the diaspora there to build up his area into a bustling urban location. Nothing wrong with that! But they need to be honest with y’all about it. They are trying to act as Real Estate Agents (The Middle men) to get a cut of your money 💰💵 without you knowing about it. Last 👉 you don’t need any of them to acquire land in this location, all you have to do for yourself is ask to have a meeting with the King of the area and tell him or his advisor that you would like to lease land from him and pay him his asking price (which will be cheaper than what they are telling you) and the King will have the paperwork done and sign it for you and the land is yours! @Yahshua Hamashiak, Majority of land and houses owned by Ghanaians are signed under 99year lease,some are 50years among others,when the lease expires it can be renewed by yourself or your descendants,the renewal is inexpensive,technically you still own the land and your property would never be taken away from you or your dependants,I expect this land price to appreciate faster because of diaspora involvement, so it is a smart investment if the land is duly owned by the chiefs and there is no litigation on the land,if you have the money do more due diligence and buy more land for the future.

Why does it cost $700 U.S. dollars to register land?????
@sikeishaluke14185 жыл бұрын
It is for logical reason like registering the property with the municipalities so there is public documentation that you are the new owner. Also, you need to put up corner posts or a wall around the property to make the property lines evident to everyone. Those costs are the land owners', but the land itself is free.

I am a working professional and live what you consider to be the American Dream but I am moving back home God willing very soon. I am in preparation mode. I have been there and the level of freedom and life is amazing. The truth is if you are struggling financially, Africa is not the best place but if you have plans and very good ambitions, with a little bit of money very significant there but not in Africa, you will make it 10x more and over. I know professionals who were there and now live there and are doing very well. I just spoke to one of my friends and he just put down 360k USD CASH down on his second home. He also just bought another car. He has been in Ghana for 7 years so far. Don't kid yourself. Those there are able to do vacations without credit cards or stress. I will not say I am going to Africa because NA is tough, I will say however that the air in Africa us incredible. God brought us over to NA so we can go back and build.

@Black American when you write i can't help but notice your projected ignorance. By the way, I did live and still live the American dream as USA needed my skillet to progress. I see an aspect of jealousy in your tone. If America was so great, why does America have so much dependence on foreigners? You are to answer that? If all foreigners were to leave America, it would not stand as we are 10x more educated than you guys which is why they pay us a huge sum of money to come and deploy our skillet. When I was working in the USA before leaving about 9 years ago, they were paying me 80 dollars an hour plus perks. I will let you be the judge of that. Don't ever talk down on Africans because we are better than you a thousand times over. I left America to come to Canada because Canada is my place of citizenship eventhough America wanted to give me my greencard. Don't sound too ignorant for your own liking. Cheers

At that time they spoke man didn't say lease he free and are to do 3 things, pay to build, learn the culture and proofs that u r an African etc. Now in America people don't own land in the northeast but in rural areas people can buy land and build their own homes. In Caribbean people buy their land with a deed pay a yearly tax and it is passed on to other generations. You can also sell it for a profit.

I heard that the land rights/lease will only last 50 years unless you marry a Ghanaian. Other countries like Nigeria or Senegal doesn’t have this rule in effect. I wouldn’t advise anyone to come and build a home, that will be taken back by the government to n 50yrs. If they build apartments or condos you can lease for 50yrs it’s different. Land taken and built on by blacks from the diaspora should be permanent, but not for Asians, Whites, or Hispanics. What about the children of those black people and there rights? Even in America I can pay taxes on my land, and keep the land forever, my children can keep it also. I am returning to Africa but this is a bad deal for the future of children with non Ghanian parents.

They are trying to get our money there basically and in a nutshell. Do you need this group in order to go and acquire land under these same things they are offering, Absolutely not. Ghana in General is offering Africans in America the opportunity to come back but here is the thing, what will we do for jobs in Ghana?? There is no economic foundation in place to accommodate us beyond entering the same market places with Ghanaians and competing for life, this is not a plan and the offer absolutely does not in any way shape or form address or speak to this. This creates a condition where Africans in america are going to go to Ghana, buy lands and they will be Back in america in 2 years having lost their money. Mark My Words!!! Now, that being said, I dont want to call them dishonest, right, I dont want to say that, I have people on the ground and I know the land is there and I know what they describe to be common practice, right. So, they arent lying, its just that people dont know the WHOLE reality associated with Repatriating to Ghana. So much confusion in the comments because people in the diaspora are trying to tranlate verbiage regarding the words lease and own. In the US we say we "own" land/property if we have a mortgage or buy for cash but everyone must pay taxes (no one is exempt) or the government can seige and resale the land no matter whats on it or how long the it was in the family. In Ghana they pay as they go, minimum credit/mortgage with no yearly taxes therefore if a Chief allow you to "lease" his land, its an agreement that its yours for a specified time period as long as you use it for what its agreed upon. No required yearly taxes if I'm understanding correctly. Sounds simple. Blacks in the US will have to decide can a Chief, a corporation or the government in a foriegn country be trusted not to take advantage of non Ghanian citizens trying to build. My advice is don't ever invest what you can't afford to loose. Investments by nature are risky. Let's be honest we have serious trust issues and rightly so. Visit the country, meet the chief, meet the people then decide what is best for you. Also for those of us in the US look up the westward expansion and the government use of imminent domain. Ask yourselves how land beyond the 13 colonys were built and who did it? Know your your history and please respect the cultures that are inviting us/asking us to help develop. Ask yourselves why aren't they making this agreement with European, Asian and Middle Estern people?

What protection do you have their as an American because you are by birth an American! As an American man you don't look very pleased to me. No matter what you say, you are still an American and the Africans are not going to let you forget that fact. As always: THE INDISPUTABLE FACTS EQUALS THE TRUTH. I hope you will be happy there. I have made Prince Richmond of the Royal family aware of this video and what you guys are doing in not telling the people the truth about the land and the Asante Palace in Kumasi is not happy at all! You guys are trying to make money off of the diaspora people wanting to come home without telling them the truth about the land and who it really belongs too and that they will NEVER own the land but they can lease it from the King and NOT any of you! I mean come on people why do you think the man that met them started laughing in the video? He knows none of them can made or lease this land to any of you without the King of the area signing off on it, there waiting on the King to give them the paperwork so they can jack up the price on you all! You don’t need any of them, you can get this land directly from the King yourself much cheaper

Well, the constitution of Ghana stated that all Land in Ghana cannot be sale outright and there are strong tangible reasons for that ok. leasing Residencial land or any other land for certain numbers years for you does not mean the owners of the land will or can take it back from you ok. The lease agreement per Ghana law is 99 years for Ghanaian national and 50 years for foreigners and the laws say it should be renewable with a small amount of fees when the lease time elapses. Ghana customary land laws are one of the best in Africa. That's the reason Europeans fail to steal or take our land as compared to other countries in Africa.

It is no wright that the land wich is supposed to be free for diaspora returnees is now a land that they have to pay taxes for permanently. Other Africans do not pay permanent taxes. Either we are all benefiting the same way or we are not. Please do not change the arrangements stick with the original arrangements. Either the land is free, or it is for sale. Do not entrap our brothers and sisters from the diaspora. They as well as us have suffered enough. Let’s work together in all transparency to benefit one another.

No you will never own land in Africa, it’s a lease. Whatever you build on it will eventually go right back to the Africans. The year of return is really (THE YEAR OF TOURISM) we been here (America) do your research and stop being fooled to leave your land for land where even the Africans have no control of🤦🏾♀️. I’ve been there so I know how they are.

Why would they offer land that’s not ready to be distributed? Why is the land being LEASED instead of allowing citizens to buy it outright? That’s means the government will always own the land. Most Black Americans buy land to pass on to their descendants. If they die the land goes back to the government. They don’t have to lease it to your descendants. They shouldn’t be leasing land to descendants of former slaves. Where’s the land our ancestors owned before they were stolen and sold into slavery? South Africans are getting back land that was stolen from their ancestors during APARTHEID and rightfully so. Unless land is sold by the owner it passes down to their descendants or whomever they WILL it to. Can anyone in Ghana produce a BILL OF SALE FOR LAND OWNED BY OUR ANCESTORS? Five thousand acres of land is nothing compared to what our ancestors owned. The idea of them putting Blacks from the diaspora all in one area is self serving by their government.
@MI-vn4tp5 жыл бұрын
Prince kodjo I own land in America and I can definitely afford to buy land in Africa. My ancestors were put on ships in Ghana and sent to America and other places. You have no idea what precedent that set for their descendants and the price we’ve paid too for any freedoms we have in America. I said the African government owes us our ancestor’s land. Guess the people in South Africa are fools too for wanting land back that was stolen from their ancestors during Apartheid. Their government is trying to get their land back from whites that’s living on it. We’re asking for Reparations from America and Africa as well. They both played a part and are responsible for what happened to my people and the hell we’ve endured because of their actions. Other races around the world received Reparations from governments that wronged them. Why can’t we demand the same thing? It wasn’t you or your people so all I hear from you is noise.
@MI-vn4tp5 жыл бұрын
Prince kodjo We know America will not give us the Reparations they owe us so we’ll turn down whatever they offer because they will pay us fully what they owed our ancestors before we return to our homeland in Africa. All Black Americans will return to Africa because we are the Israelites from the Bible. Descendants of Shem. You are a descendant of Ham. Every country that had anything to do with our enslavement will pay us and receive punishment from Yah. I suggest you ask your people who the Israelites are. This has already been decreed by Almighty God. It’s not about entitlement it’s about JUSTICE. I’ve never look for entitlement from anyone let alone Africa.

These men are not totally being honest in this video on what they are really trying to do here family. 1. Notice he said👉 I don’t own the land? Why is that? Y’all need to be honest with the people wanting to come back home and buy land. These guys are trying to act as the middle men to make money off of you all!
