It is the end of the early Spring harvest in Jingmai Mountain. Let's see what we can make with what is left of our fresh leaves. We've finished the bulk of the production and it's time to evaluate the quality of each batch and blend them.
You can buy our teas on our website: www.farmer-lea...

I am sure that making this “day in the life” format of video is labour intensive, but it is a real treat for viewers!

Hey Chris, curious - are you making tea in SC? (I'm in NC)

@@jimkaregeannes9002 Hey Jim! I am, at a very very small scale. I have ~10 very young plants, and there are some semi-wild Camellia sinensis plants growing in a nearby nature preserve (I know the owners; they're cool with a little picking as long as I share the tea :). I was able to make some white tea (~10 grams after drying lol!) and a larger batch of a roasty oolong (a delicious and very sweet failed attempt at making black tea!). This is my first year harvesting and processing. Are you making tea in NC? I'm fairly close to the border (~60 minute south of Charlotte)

Reddened Puerh is my favourite. The reddening just rounds off the edges and make it more pleasant but still keeps the majority of the fresh and floral notes and aromas as well as character and power. So imho it beats Shu by miles and for daily drinking also Sheng. But it’s a rarity - so thank you William for catering to your customers fancies 😊

Fantastic video. The narrative of checking on the different processes really worked well I thought to progress the video, would likely remind American viewers of Mr. Rogers. It would be interesting to have your take on the effect of blending vs. the effect on a given year's terroir in terms of your Gulan blend. I have noticed differences between the years and I am curious how much to the best of your recollection that differences maybe a result of your processing skill improving, blending ratios, and the uniqueness of each year's product due to weather, etc.

Great video! I really enjoy seeing the process of how the tea is made. I drank some 2022 Jimgmai Gulan as I watched today, it's delicious as always and has aged nicely over 2 years. I'm looking forward to trying this years!

Seems there is an increased activity of the camera angle 人 (person). Noticed and appreciated normally we don't teleport :P and here we had dynamics very good. while not necessary conveys the story of the locale I feel. As always Tea and its provenance a great combo. good work!
