This year I started using the Open Wardrobe app to catalog my clothing and plan outfits, but it also has a feature that suggests outfits for you... and sometimes they're pretty crazy.

Ok, I feel I should clarify the whole bot/AI thing (since I use them interchangeably but they are technically different): while the app calls its outfit creating feature "Lolabot," it does seem to be learning (albeit slowly, painfully...) what I do and don't like. The WORST outfits were created when I first began using the app, but as I've used it more the outfits have gotten slightly better (which isn't saying much haha).

It's nice to see you back 😊 I so relate to being busy and digital life taking a back seat. I feel like the AI struggles a bit (or a lot) with colours and textures. But it can be nice to pair things that hadn't occurred to us.

The orange dress one is... something special. I use A Closet which has a similar suggestion feature. As far as I can tell, it mostly focuses on matching colors between pieces and really struggles with adding accessories. But I also like it because of the tracking features. It keeps track of how frequently I wear something and suggests items I haven't worn lately.

Well for what it’s worth.. it kinda makes me want to try that app/bot/AI thing now.. just to see what it would throw at/on me for a good chuckle. Very entertaining video though! I thoroughly enjoy your commentary and also wanted to say you have a very pleasant voice! 😊

Thanks!! It’s definitely a pain uploading pics of all your clothes but it’s fun to play around on the app once that part is done!

Glad to see you back! I use a similar app and the AI is also very odd. For formal outfits it chooses dresses that I've never selected as being formal and doesn't know how layering works either. I mainly use it, similar to you, for cataloging my clothes, seeing what I'm wearing/not wearing etc. It does have a manual outfit planning option which I use quite a bit for putting outfits together 🙂

I actually thought the blue embroidered shirt with the pleated black skirt was a nice look. I might switch out blank ankle boots though.

mine doesnt get better, at ALL! and now that we are in winter and snowing I have sandals and sun hats with wool dress and pants WTF??? LOL
