One archaeologist to another, Mike’s incredible skill in identifying vessel form and function from such small glass fragments never ceases to amaze. Thanks Mike!

Thanks so much Chris!🌅 It’s such a pleasure to share these finds and the joy of artifact hunting with you.💯 These past few years when people came to show me rare finds at the sea glass festivals, I was kind of amazed at myself, on how much insight I was able to provide on such a vast spectrum of odd items.💫 The amount of joy I get in meeting people and helping out is second only to the joy my children give me. Thanks for your friendship kindness and support my friend! 🧡

This has been such an exciting video Mike!!! Three beautiful beaches, several marbles, the glass fuse piece, pink, gorgeous unique denim blue,... I gasped out loud over the turquoise insulator chunk.. 😮😮😮. Then you pulled out those whale vertebrae pieces. I almost hyperventilated, lol. Sorry to hear your plans for a local sea glass festival had the rug pulled out from under it for 2024. Hopefully the change in plans allows you adventure to the International Sea Glass Festival in Mystic, CT. Happy beachcombing! 🙂

That is so awesome you'll be on a TV show! I look forward to watching it (if I can find a place to watch it in the states). The mask toy helmet is a cool find, my dad collects those toys as they were also one of his favorite childhood toys. Wow, those blue pieces are really amazing. The aging on that first one is really outstanding. Thank you for sharing! My husband, baby, and I are going to stop by one of my favorite seaglass beaches tomorrow in Edmonds, Washington. I hope to find something good since we havent been in a long time.

Great video, Mike! That whale bone fragment was wild! My favorite find from my beach vacation last year was a piece of fulgurite (what happens to sand when lightening strikes it). I wouldn’t have known what it was, except that I had seen some being sold in a store the day before.
@SeaGlassArchaeology8 ай бұрын
That’s so awesome how you found that fulgurite Ryan!😯 Often I’m asked by tourists if that’s how sea glass is formed and then get to explain the difference between the two.💫 Yours is soo cool, I’ve never found any.🧡 When lightning strikes close to the shoreline, or shallow waters it’s something to experience, although by beaches aren’t sandy which is a key component, I guess, lol. Thanks for letting me know you enjoyed the adventure and that Whale bone!☀️ I love those bones, not everyone does! 💯

Is that shiny black piece above the green piece a rock or piece of glass at :30? Love the amber colored piece at 2:50. Could you turn that belt piece into a pendant? Just wondering. Love the dragon egg rock at 7:26. Another beautiful rock at 18:23 to go with the other 2 you found earlier.

Hey Tina!🌅 You get an A+ for attention to details, wish I could have you on the beach with me as a second set of eyes! 💫 I probably could turn that beautiful conveyor find into a wearable, thanks! I never even considered it! Believe it or not, I filmed even more beautiful rocks. However edited it out in fear it wouldn’t be appealing to everyone! (I Edit out a lot of talking and such for the same reasons!)💯 Anyhow, it’s great to be sharing with and hearing from you my friend, I hope you’ve been well!🧡🧡

Hi I just came across your channel. You really make searching for sea glass so interesting. TSF 😁 I want to go to sea glass beach along the coast of CA. At first I was so excited to go there and beach comb for sea glass, however after reading some info about that beach online, it says you are welcome to take pictures and move the sea glass around, but you cannot take the sea glass home. What a bummer…
