We were at Animal kingdom lodge this Labor Day week and ate at the Mara everyday! My daughter and I shared the Savanna platter for breakfast….for lunch, I had half the bacon cheddar burger w/fries and she had the pepperoni flat bread…we loved it!

Love the food & beverage program at Animal Kingdom Lodge. Mara good in a pinch. Every once in a while, they will serve a ham sandwich made with the leftover ham from Boma breakfast, slathered with their sweet, spiced mustard sauce! It is unreasonably good. Have liked Rotisserie Chicken with green beans in the past, as well. Of course, Zebra Domes and the chocolate/peanut butter brownie found opposite the cold cases. Good review, good variety. I love the blossoming dynamic of this trio.

I haven't been there in over 5 years, it honestly still looks pretty good and the best part is that the restaurant doesn't seem to be obnoxiously loud which is a nice change.

So, Rhyno yet again buys a dish where he doesn’t like the ingredients, then complains about the ingredients. I don’t get it, if you are a person with a limited palate, then don’t order things that you don’t like. He did the same thing at Beaches and Cream. It’s annoying for those of us that like these ingredients. I don’t like salmon, so I would not order the salmon - duh!

Ate at The Mara twice during our many stays at The AKL and was totally underwhelmed. Love BOMA but other than refilling our Resort Mugs, we avoid eating at The Mara.

Rhino, great shirt. You are confused about olives. AKL is our favorite resort except for the distances. We ate a number of meal there in march and the African plates were very nice.

What interesting food. I love how different it is but also how approachable it is. I wish more places had different options like this since AKL is pretty far from everything and unless I'm staying there (which I never have), I probably wouldn't go out of my way just to eat there. At the same time I also think it's great that the resorts do this...its a reason to get people to stay there (Port Orleans & beignets) and wish more resorts had specialties like this.

Constructive thoughts: we don’t just want to watch you eat, we want to learn about the restaurant. 1. Show the menu. Don’t make us have to research. 2. Let the viewer know if things can be customized. Meat well done, no olives allowed, etc. 3. What would a kid eat? Show those options. Overall, just make the video so new viewers will find you, rather than just the same people (like me), watching your videos over and over.

50/50 battle. We explained the entire menu for the most part throughout the video in a brief way because when we show a menu and over explain we get told by the opposite of you that they can look up the menu themselves they don't need to hear it. Lose-lose situation. Anything at Disney can be customized as long as its not pre-batched but we try to eat it as it is because when you stray too far what's the point. We do forget to mention kids items though.

Pumpkin pie spice can have cinnamon,ginger,nutmeg,cloveand allspice in it according to my perfunctory google search. Ryno, I can't back you up with your opinion of olives but you are redeemed for your dislike of *shiver* cilantro and your reverance for zebra domes. I purposely start with them when we go to Boma so as not to fill up on the great buffet and have no room for them. Erica, your lashes are extra lovely today!
