# 2 seeing the kids cleaning the school yard reminded me of my wife's school where she taught grade school before I took her away. My first trip to the PH, and seeing where she taught was 1979, and even then the children were out cleaning up. A couple ran up to us to take our bags from us as we had gifts for them and the teachers. ( I used to be a little uneasy with the younger children blessing me, but now think nothing of it. You see adults doing the same to their older relatives, just a wonderful way of life showing respect to those older than you.

Hi Derrick. Thank you for sharing the joy of this video. The first video I ever saw of you was when Gel took you to the mountain. I plan to get my SRRV Visa and begin my life in the Philippines next year. I live a simple life and enjoy sharing figuring I came into the world with nothing and all I have is because of the good things which come into my life and so I want to share the good. For me, sharing the good is to share knowledge, food, the things I have, the women I am in a relationship with, and my income. When I live in the Philippines, I desire to put $1,000 in my pocket at the start of each month and give it away to deserving individuals before the month is over. Your video gave me the thought to help Filipino province and mountain families create special memories from celebrating special ocassions with a feast. Thank you for the idea.

I feel your $1,000 does better by teaching people to be independent over gives cash gift where they spend it for an instant gratification whether that be food or whatever. That $1k can help 1 family be independent per month. But there is no wrong way to be a philanthropist. You will be correct with whatever you decide

Because of the internet, I would just repeat: To get Angels family independent from other people paying the internet, invest (with the help of the viewers) a few bucks more and get a "Piso Wifi" - so they get back the money they have to pay monthly by having people come by and surf on-demand. It is also a great option to lure people to the Sari Sari store - and as long as they sit around and surf, they will also buy a beer or a snack while doing because they cant get out of the area of the hotspot ;) I know it from other little local villages, the Sari Sari Store / Carinderia or whatever with the Piso Wifi always was the most popular. Also its a relief for you, so you know that you dont have to finance their internet to eternity, because it pays itself.

Because their home is just a few steps from her school, I asked the family to share their internet with other students for free via a separate router that they can unplug after hours. A lot of gifted students are falling behind due to lack of access to resources. But your suggestions are also great. Let me discuss your points with the family so they can decide on a course of action

The hope and my mentorship is to help her grow her own channel and be financially independent and take back the responsibility of the monthly payments on their own. Until then, I am personally funding it with my KZbin monetization
