An Artful Life: A Curious Conversation with Shannon Robinson
Shannon Robinson is a former corporate litigator who retired to become the director of a non-profit that encourages art collection from living artists by providing art education, introductions to working artists, and art history tours worldwide.
She has worked with the Metropolitan Museum, the Denver Art Museum, the Clifford Still Museum, and Savannah College of Art and Design and is headed to the Hudson Valley this fall with a group of collectors.
For 30 years, Shannon has been collecting the work of living artists. For her, art is directly connected to human spirituality, which is why her non-profit is called Windows to the Divine. Our conversation about collecting art is sure to be thought-provoking, and we welcome Shannon Robinson enthusiastically.
About the Show
Painter Melissa Hefferlin and Photographer and Producer Nina Froriep are curious to understand many things about Art in their Live Show, An Artful Live: Curious Conversations About How Humans Make and Use Art.
What is Art?
Who is an artist, really?
Why do we need Art in our lives?
Where should we start if we want to collect Art?
These questions (and many more) about the relationship between humans and Art in all its forms will be the topic of dynamic, 45-minute conversations in an ongoing series streaming live on LinkedIn, KZbin, and Instagram and later available as recordings.
