Thank you Ami for sharing the photographs and stories and insights of your grandmother! Schools should teach kids, especially young girls, about extraordinary women like Lee Miller to inspire them and help them explore their own courage and creativity.😊

I got to hear about Man Ray in my introductory 1900s art history course, I was fascinated by his work, I wish we could've led into Lee Miller through that section! How lovely to have her immortalized here for us!

she was a gutsy woman to have taken on the challenges that she did, at the time she lived in.

For me, Miller was yet another example of the prolific photographer group from the Twentieth century. Your Grandmother, Ami, inspired & innovated in an era of tumult - seemingly fearless amongst her peers - & always, always creating powerful yet poignant images; I own several publications that focus (sic) upon the various paths she chose throughout her life - & we should be thankful that she did. Thanks too, to you, for highlighting this incredible woman's work. Slan agus beannacht ! Aindriu.

What an incredibly powerful, cognizant, and passionate journey Lee has taken us on. This is so well spoken about in the details you mention in the timeline and in her perspective taking thank you. Very cool! So many talented people passed over by text books and school curricular schedules. 'we'll put Margaret Bourke-White in the text and that ticks off women in the war' - TBH, we never had Bourke-White in our 70s texts, but, at least we had her to represent women's progress in Western culture. Now, thanks to the right time and right place, we have this dynamic figure of achievement and lifestyle, Lee Miller. I know it's hard to share and/or learn all that has happened in our busy milieu, but I always feel I've known nothing at all when people like this enter my mind's eye. What a spectacular existence. What a role model for many.
