An Article & An App Implementing AI in Active Learning Environments

In our July session of "An Article and An App," we took a look into the exciting intersection of active learning and artificial intelligence in education. Building on the insights from the article "Social Media and Artificial Intelligence: Critical Conversations and Where Do We Go from Here?", the discussion explored how social media can be intentionally used for student engagement while acknowledging the challenges and issues it presents. We also considered the implications of AI tools within the framework of active learning strategies in higher education. Finally, the session examined the emergence and popularity of generative AI tools, including their potential and limitations within the educational landscape.
