Another great defensive wall for B site is from the wooden box to B main which covers B main entrance and give a pocket spot behind the wooden box for you to spam through the box and get to the other side of the wall when reload. I think vision striker's Mako did that in Berlin.

i noticed that while placing stars inside astral form, there's a purple ring around the star that's a touch smaller than the small ring. that is probably the smoke ring

I tested this just today! What a coincidence. Indeed the inner ring is the smoke, while the outer ring represents concuss and grav succ :D Only just picking up Astra so nice to know

Actually, the outer ring is the gravity pull, the inner ring is the concuss and the smoke is slightly smaller than the inner ring. I hate riot for not fixing the visuals because using the concuss looks as big as the gravity pull but the actually effect radius is smaller

Breeze and Icebox are Viper maps! I would highly recommend learning viper along with Astra to be a controller main!

I really like Pay site hold so i play 3 Stars on a. Should i always set the 2 other Stars instant when the round starts or should i save them and only set them mid when the other Team is attacking it

Probably, if you have 3 on one site you should try to stick the 2 on the other site to stop rushes, but if the round slows down you might want to start pulling back stars and rearranging your setup!

no, you can go closer to where youre placing the or use a better resolution

How do you play astra on pistol rounds? How many stars do you buy?

Depending on the map itll usually be Ghost + 3 stars or light shields + 3 stars!

Isn't smoking mid and going a through ropes really bad though? You're going to miss if anyone is there while you're going up rope and you're funnelled into a small area where you can get killed easy. To me mid B is only way that sounds viable unless you go underpass all way to A

Def not the ideal way to hit A, but the point is the smokes give options that the defenders need to worry about. They cant just not have something/someone watching vents to A, therefore stretches out the defense!

You shouldn’t use all your stars on defence Try look to put 3 on the map generally 1 mid and 2 on A Should always look to have backup stats just in case of unexpected situations otherwise you are pretty much useless

Thats fine, but if rushes happen you can get caught off without stars in time! I feel comfortable shifting stars mid round so I dont mind!
