Thank you for your guides! They're so helpful! Would you be able to maybe go into more detail about what to do on defense if your opponents attack the site you didn't set up at? Rotating tips and such, like any Astra things that we should keep in mind?

@17:16 not the best heaven smoke. If there's a jett op heaven, she can peek left or right from the smoke, meaning you gotta gamble on which side she might push. Just smoke deeper so she only can push through the center.

I've been maining Astra almost since she came out, I'm in p2 now, and this guide still showed me some things I didn't know or hadn't thought of. Even after the nerf this is hella useful, thanks Flow!

Icebox in general isn't a great map for Astra. I probably won't be covering Astra on that map simply because Viper is WAYYY better, but I'd be down to make a Viper guide for that map! :D

@@FLOWSHIZZLE Yeah for sure. I'm keen for viper because I tried playing her recently and I swear her posion cloud is so delayed when throwing it. Tried jump throwing from a lobby outside cave to metal doors to flank the defenders mid and A. Will you be able to do that lineup as well as other lineups viper players should learn. Thank you so much! *EDIT* Nats and Bonecold did this lineup but it's not really specific and have to perfectly time it. Played viper for the first time since Yesterday.

loving these astra guides, but as a new val player i still don’t have too much map knowledge and dunno what the most common ways attackers and defenders play would b great if u include them in or possibly a separate video if it’s too long probably not a popular request because i’m worse than basically everyone else

Just play the game for a while, when in doubt watch a stream or pro game and you can see why they play certain angles. Overall just get the feel for the game more and then worry about the nuanced things!

I actually hate elbow smoke so much bc defenders either sits in it like its thier home or just sit behind it and spam through with retake sova darts or cypher trips. I would rather do a fake smoke just to bait them and get control of elbow with a flash from my teammates. It makes holding site really easy as defender cant really cross from your ct smoke to elbow safely.

Really depends how well you communicate with your team cuz they'll be hella mad if they expect it to be smoked and it disappears but i get what youre saying!

I think this is such a good guide, BUT I think when you are talking about how other players play it isn’t applicable to gold and below. Just a thought. Still a fantastic guide

In gold or below I usually recommend in my coaching sessions to focus on the mechanics and just simplify the game to "shooting people" and not worry about everything else as much!

But I also think why I keep playing valorant and never really went back to csgo was the ability usage. So I definitely think if I played just to get better, I’d focus on that, but I also do it to have fun.
