Helpful tip since many people are having trouble planting. First if it’s a tree seed an not grass you need a shovel. Make a hole with the shovel and drop the seed out and put the dirt back on top.

Q on keyboard to drop items, pressing down the left C stick (movement stick) drops items too. If you see giant fossils and nuggets that look like gold (those are amber) you can carry then plop them on the scale inside the store once built. These give big money but are very rare. You can get them from rocks. Also, the junk from metal barrels are used to repair the towers. Those will become teleporters for the island later. You will need to repair 2 minimum for them to work. Also: hammer weapons are a waste of resources. Same with the cages. You need bait. And bait is rare and bought from a visitor

Also! I got the mines set up! The tape is too expensive for what you can reasonably get. I feel its not worth it :(

You should give traps another try, place more extraction points near rivers and cas spawns, the animals can break out, but use more than one and keep trapping until you get to the extraction station. Crocs are 10k each. Metal crates are better than wood.

I use the aggressive creature to follow me into the traps so I don't need bait

@@ladyjinyxx i made a metal one as my only crate. They just kept breaking and putting my character in danger. I even put the trap right infront of the capture box, i was still too slow. I gave up after that.

@@Squiggy8440 If you damage the creatures a fair bit before putting them in the cage it becomes easy enough to carry them longer distances. Getting them into the cage while they are running in fear from you is the tricky part. 🤣

A warning, seem game 'forgets': if you dive, use jump button to resurface. The easiest energy source seem to be the 'catus figs' - lots around, quick to cook. You should also cut everything around and check description of what you get, some are hilarious, some are helpful. ;) Also, if you played The Survivalit, holding the 'gather' button lets you gather things by walking over them - much quicker. And be careful with the Licenses - the game will throw anything you unlock at you as daily task and it can be really hard to do sometimes. Might wanna try seeing what happens when you faint. It's interesting. ;-) Also, the map is RNG, not set in place! t's really cool. :)

You can change the camera settings. So you don’t have to hold shift. Also mark the invert y , everyone that I’ve seen play have. Hanged these two settings

There isnt a specific area tlon the map that is tropics. Tropics means all of Australia which means all of Snugglelands. You can sell anything you pick up from around island.

If you open the map and move your cursor over the light green areas you will see in the lower corner that those are the Tropics regions of the map. 😀

So glad to see you playing this game! I am enjoying playing it myself I've changed the exact same settings for the camera, it was soooo much better. Also, sometimes the camera gets locked into a weird setting when visiting someone and you can't move it well. To get it out of that you have to press "Z". I've also accidentally pressed it while playing and had no idea what happened Hint with fishing, just keep tapping the mouse button, the catch bar never goes down this way. I'm sure they're going to patch this eventually I did the exact same thing with the campfire and I had to move it haha

To plant trees/fruit trees/bushes: dig a hole with the shovel, drop ONE seed (Q on keyboard), then put the dirt back. To do plants you need a hoe from one of the rotation shop keepers in the visiting tents for crops. Bushes/flowers/cactus you break with an axe, grass you just plant to change dirt color. Any beehives, jewels, and weight items you sell in johns shop after its built, on the right there is a scale to sell at. You get farm animals from Steve Irwin(visiting), BEFORE YOU BUY a chook/animal, BUILD A FENCE FIRST! if you don't it will run off or get eaten. Feed everyday, one house per chook, one feed tray per. Invest in a metal detector, get level 2 if possible, look by the water Make friends to build shops in ur town, do a few favors, talk, and spend a little money at each to earn the deed. Pay of debt to build new buildings, the bulletin board is a good money maker. Can't wait to see your playthough more, and good luck!

Dialogue that is too quick is the biggest pet peeve in all games for me. I'm a slow reader as it is, so missing out on sometimes vital info/story info just because a developer thinks we're all speed readers in this magical world where dyslexia does not exist, kinda bugs me. A lot.
