An Autonomous Dog Poop Robot

This company has created an incredible autonomous robot that roams around your yard picking up all of the dog poop it finds. It connects to the cloud to help process the images, and once it finds and detects a dog poop pile, it'll lower down a mechanical claw to scoop it up. It's called the Beetl, and it's battery powered, will auto-recharge on its base when it's running low, and uses a tandem camera to create boundaries in your yard.

I love how it picks up small dog poop. I have a German Shepherd and I would bet it can't pick up one of her piles. You never showed what the robot does with the poop. What happens if you have long grass? Does it work in yards that are not very even? How about rain? Or snow? How much does it cost? How long does the battery last before needing charging again?

It'll be interesting if they can train a dog to follow a robot drone as well as take commands from that robot drone if this is possible just imagine what that could mean far as other robot technology in the future for example sled dogs taking commands from a robot to being supplied from one location to another or a horse carriage drawn by horses and commanded by a robot robots and drones are just machines run by a algorithm and those things can make grave mistakes and could lead to disaster when performing complex task while horses and dogs have saved humans in desperate need in chaotic situations and have instinctual self-preservation needs this also has the promise of reducing carbon emissions in truth this could like revolutionize many jobs that animals can do as well as augment their capabilities for example guard dogs I can take commands from my robot/drone outside can cover a larger area as well as the capability of remotely reporting back as if it was a human being in truth robots / drones are not as intimidating as a guard dog or a human being this could substitute one of the three jobs when pulling security as well as keep humans out of harm's way The biggest problem and the biggest question Will animals take commands from machines and will this cause animals to have more stress and how can we train them to overcome these fears The overall results might have to be introducing more of these types of machines to help take care of animals so the animals can get used to them being around this could also result in breeding dogs and large numbers depending on how well this works however I don't see this affecting horses very much
