this playlist is for those who grew up in a little town, where everyone knew everyone. we grew up in a place where roads were narrow and lined with trees, and the weather was predictable but never spectacular. the skies in this town were never blue, nor were they pink, but a strange hue of a grey that smelled like fresh grass and home. we, the children of this town, never experienced anything too out of this world, as even the idea of underage drinking scared us to death. but nevertheless, this seemingly boring and mundane youth, will often be romanticised and deemed poetic when we look back at it later. this innocent time, of uninteresting bliss, will always hold a special place in our hearts, as the most simple, happy, and average.

Adulting fucking sucks a lot of the time but it also has its benefits, but its really all kinda downhill after your young 20s. Enjoy your youth while you're in it, you miss the simple times after you're grown up. So make the most of it :p

@@JohnDoe-eo4fw It's not downhill after the young twenties unless you're an idiot. You stop being brain damaged by your mid-twenties and can start functioning towards greater goals. To the rest of you, life isn't over when you graduate high school. Yes, 70 years ago, even 30 years ago to a degree, it was expected that you would get married shortly after high school and work on a family. These days, what you do in your 30s are the things people in the past did in their late teens to mid-twenties. Thirties are the new twenties. Forties are the new thirties. So on and so forth, and you might age really well, where people won't know what age you are. So don't hesitate to enjoy that once in a while. Telling someone you'll never see again that you're 21 when you're 29 isn't a sin. Hell, make that your rule online too. Don't attach your real selves to your online identity wherever you can help it. It's no one's business unless you let them in. You're allowed to have fun. Even as you hit your 50s, 60s, 70s. You're never too old to just go out and have a good time. The biggest advice I have, and warning, is that applies to everyone, not just you. The day you say, "Like, oh my god, he's old, he's like THIRTY," is the day you've jinxed yourself. Remember that.

I'm gonna miss this town. Not the religious Christians or the jerk assholes I go to school with, not the homophobes or the overly insensitive people. But I'll miss the security, the sacrecy, knowing each night that this is home. Nothing can beat this feeling. It's almost like a longing. I long to feel the fresh air and huge buildings, but I will forever miss the rain here, the sounds of familiar voices, always having someone at any corner I am. Home grown food and friendly neighbors. Family reunions at the senior center and barbecues/cookouts at the square or a friend or family members house. You know who everyone is. They know you. That is especially good around Halloween when you go trick or treating. One thing I love is the sky. Full of so many clouds I can make shapes of, the stars so clear and beautiful. This town may be run by name brand brats that got everything because of the founders. But it is because of those close memories and kind people that make this home. When I'm away, I get this strange need for it again. It's hard to explain. Like I'm a million miles away even if I'm just one state over. This is home. At some point, everyone returns, they come back, mostly to raise their own children here. Because they couldn't think of a better home to be. I know that I will come back here. It is my home and I love it dearly
