I have learned to put a lifeline in before I do things like short rows or in lace work, especially since I’m using 2.5mm needles and I knit tight, I’m knitting a pair of simple lace socks and have had to rip back because I dropped a stitch in the lace part and couldn’t figure out how to fix it. Counting your stitches is also important. Thanks for sharing, your calmness alone was somehow very reassuring as you ripped back. ❤😊

I have ran into the same problem. BUT I'm using 2 colors and out of 300+ stiches my needle fell out of the last 30 or so. Its confusing. The nightshift cowl pulling out pulls both colors. It's so few stiches I don't want to frogg back and lose all my work. Any tips or suggestions on this? I obviously needed this today.

Amazing. My problem is maybe easy to fix. I want reduce the number of stitches from the cast on end of a garter stitch blanket - not the finishing end. Can this be done?
