I’d love to open a yarn store in my area, the two I frequented closed years ago. I don’t mind traveling to the others in my state but it would be great to have one here. Doing it with my daughter would definitely be fun.

You know what I would be really interested in seeing on the channel? You revisiting your older finished items and see if you would still like to wear them or if you can modify them. I think you must have a lot of them stored at your parents place and I would love to see them again.

Oh cool Natalie, I just finished a matching cowl and hat using Juniper Moon Farm Moonshine Bulky. I used two colors to make a striped version. The fiber content is so nice with 60% highland wool, 30% alpaca and 10% silk. I'm also making a hat with Nora Silk Garden, and it's the first time working with it. I also got more of Argyles Luminous Brooklyn chunky weight to make a stripped cowl and hat. So nice to see your yarn store videos, thanks.

I love Lisa and Stars Hollow. I've been a customer pretty much since the beginning. Haven't been in awhile due to health reasons, but maybe a trip soon.

What a great episode. I’m STILL on the search for the perfect yarn for my first sweater. Lots of great fibers I hadn’t considered. I’m going to miss these visits but you did save the best for last 🤣 O H

i just did a granny hexagon cardigan (TL Yarn Crafts ❤️) and i spent so long trying to get the two sides even-ish! I wanted to use a color changing yarn just to make it extra pretty but i ended up really digging through my 2 skeins to find the equivalent color sections in each one. Worth the extra hassle!!

Thank you for including a left handed version. as a leftie (who made myself learn how to knit the right handed way, so that i wouldn't run into the issue of not understanding the majority of tutorials), I really really appreciate it <3

I have yarn in my room and a small what I called the tool room that's outside. I crochet and donate my stuff for people in need. It's what I enjoy to do.

You could always post some of the yarn that you don't want on your etsy store and donate the proceeds to a foundation of your choice. Local animal shelter for an example.

Yarn management is very interesting to talk about! Thanks for always talking about the little things, the logistics of things, most people gloss over it.

Can someone address the elephant in the room. As a new knitter, there is one thing I am tired of hearing, knitters complaining about acrylic yarn and Superwash yarns. it seems like everyone is watching each other videos and just repeating what they hear and doing what the other one is doing. They are complaining about acrylic yarn but instead of saying just that, they blame their hate on the "screechiness of the yarn". Everyone is talking about natural and animal fiber. Not one person has done research into the treatment of the animals or the replanting of the trees. They read a label saying "It has the approval..." and they move on.

I appreciate all the detail about yarn management for your pants. So far I have mainly knit short sleeves garments with hand dyed yarn but I'd like to knit a few sweaters and I think I will take your ideas about yarn management for the pant legs into consideration for sleeve knitting. I love the look of variegated and speckled yarns but sometimes it can be tricky to make things match up the way I would like them too.

With Granny squares, the size of the square does not actually matter for as long as you keep the stitch count on each side the same on all the squares. Then you join stitch by stitch.

I thought I had a reasonable amount of yarn, but my daughter kept commenting on it. So I whipped up a spreadsheet.....and found that I have over 40,000 yards of yarn! Yikes. She might be right. So now, before the April 2025 fiber festival that my knitting group attends, I am trying to knit or crochet ~350 yards a day. It's harder to do than I thought!

A twisted sc is a great border option. Looks very similar to crab stitch but much less annoying to do.
