I've got a Bosch one on my list, but I may only be picking it up next spring. I'm hoping to use it on the lawn that I'm currently renovating. I'm planning to keep it cut quite short so a cylinder mower will be perfect.

The Hayter is certainly better! I'm starting the top from scratch. I've just reseeded and I've already got great germination only a week later. First video will be this weekend.

Looks like you have sprayed the top lawn off? Will you do a video on hedge trimming outside the front?

I've killed the top lawn - currently renovating it from scratch. I've not thought about trimming the hedges at the front, but it may be something I look into doing as the thorns are a nightmare when I'm cutting the verge.

Which lawn mover would you guys recommend? Petrol, Electrical or the cordless one. I have approximately 200 sqm.

Personally, I'd go electric. Something with a wide deck and with a decent sized battery. Hayter do some bigger versions of the one that I use. Self-propelled is an option too.

Just cut it every three days. I have a very heavy honda stripes last longer but I've got ruts in the lawn. Prefer the lighter hayter mower.

The weather has been a nightmare! It does seem to be getting better though where I am - it gives it to be quite hot in the next few days. I'm praying that I can get back to the usual cutting schedule! 🤣

What are the extra lines from, the wheels?

Just like Paulie said. If I don't overlap slightly, there will be lines of grass that are uncut and it's a bit unsightly. But it depends how thick the lawn is too. If it's thinner, you don't get the stripe from the wheel. You'd avoid this with a cylinder mower though as long as it doesn't have any wheels.

I also noticed that the top lawn in your garden is gone brown,am guessing you killed it off to start over?

I've killed it off! Starting from scratch! I'm doing a full lawn renovation from scratch at the moment. The first video will be out this weekend showing how I killed it off.

For such a price on Hayter and it only has one solid roller on the back. I was expecting at least two for better manoeuvres.

The bigger models do, but with this being a smaller one, it just has one solid roller. It's also thicker in the centre than at the edges so that it can be turned easier.

That makes sense, I did think why it was thicker in the middle. As long as it helps thats great, does not seem to have any effect on the stripes as well👍

Why do you cut the grass at different lengths?

It's mainly because of where they are. The back lawn gets less stressed in the sun as it sees the sun less, so I cut it shorter. The lawns are the front can bake when we have a heatwave so I tend to leave them slightly longer so that they are more drought resistant.

I've killed it off! I wanted to start it again from scratch. Partly because of a bit of a weed grass problem, I also wanted to add more top soil (but it was mainly because I had some time off work and wanted a new project!)
