Bedrooms that don't have any kind of return air pathways can create comfort, efficiency, and health and safety problems. Here's an inexpensive, easy-to-install device that solves the problem. For more info, see our article, An Easy Retrofit for Return Air From Bedrooms, at: www.energyvanguard.com/blog/e...

Seems perfect for a pantry door. I live in hot, humid climate and pantry gets warm with door closed, esp since it’s next to laundry room, so I’ll be ordering one. Also, for master bath. Thank you!

I think the Return Air Pathway would work better in my case. I have a room upstairs that has no return vent. The supply vent is on the floor right next to the bedroom door. A Return Air Pathway could be installed up high and allow for the hot air to escape easier.

doors are not supposed to be right on the flooring if there were proper gap ages on the door might be good years of paint on the jamb and door will cause this along with no gap on the bottom should be at least 3/4 of an inch

Having a properly pressurized room allows it to heat or cool more effectively. It eliminates hot and cold spots within the room. Please call if you would like more info 800-222-5932 M-F Eastern Time or email info@tamtech.com

@@tommytamarack1 So this will save on energy costs?

@@michellemajako short answer ~ yes. Energy Star guidelines are less than 3. Their guidelines are set to conserve energy. Less energy, less cost running your HVAC system. Or when the return can take out the amount of air that you imagine it would need (cold or hot), to arrive at your thermostat ‘s setting it would be less work for less time. Any of that make sense? @ HVAC man w/ great suggestion on retrofit return replacement. 30 yrs later for me….

If you don’t have reruns in the bedrooms only registers, you must keep doors open.

By creating a return duct on the bottom of your door. You are allowing air to flow in your room to cool it down while at the same time not compromising privacy. For me it is a good solution as I do not us the AC.

Another dishonest way to make money. That door should have an undercut of approx 3/4" to resolve the air pressure imbalance.
