I don’t think beginners would have a jointer or drum sander, but surely they would use waterproof glue such as Titebond III on a cutting board. Still it was nice to watch one of your projects where you don’t use dominoes.

Cutting board looks beautiful. You did an excellent job of filming and editing. Very easy to follow for a beginner like me. Unfortunately I don't think a beginner would have a drum sander, etc. the 1/2 million dollars worth of tools that you have.

I’m a beginner, I use a Stanley hand plane, they come in various sizes, to get my wood flat, a bit of elbow grease with it and that’s my fitness, if anyone wants to achieve something they will find a way, learning by doing start at the bottom work your way up, we all had to learn to walk before we could run

Very nice project! But it seems to me that if you post a beginner project, you should use beginner tools and give lots of details!! A beginner cannot just watch a video with tools that they don't have access too and figure out how to make the same object.

You write all the videos for beginners, and you have equipment for a lot of money. The beginner will get this equipment from where. The second thing is that you get wooden boards that are very long, and in the end, you make something that does not come out at seventy centimeters. Anyone can make it with the least possible tools.

Was the strips ‘side, edge or end grain’?? With end grain board, the wood will move different, you’ll notice it within days?? Surely?

Attention all woodworkers. Beginners and advanced Craftsman. There is sad news coming out of Sheffield, United Kingdom. BBC report: A workshop group set up to help men talk about their mental health is facing closure as its landlord battles against rising overheads. Steelers Heelers, based in the Steel Inn on Sheffield's Manor estate, provides a space for people to talk and take on woodworking projects..... I know times are very hard for everyone. And I totally understand the saying "every penny counts" . But I was wondering if we could all chip in and set up funding for these gentlemen. As someone who picked up woodworking in his late 30s, there is something about woodworking that calms the mind and nerves. Knowing how supportive this community is, I think it's only right and our duty to help these lads out. Please spread the word !!!

@@easymake414 да, но Вы же понимаете, что по вашей технологии ему не сделать, потому что элементарно у него нет такой базы инструментов, соответственно он уже как минимум многое не сделает. Даже нарезать заготовки он не сможет, потому что нет циркулярной пилы, а значит или покупать готовые в этот размер, или? Ну и дальше тоже самое, что касается инструментов которые не доступны для новичка. Я не хочу Вас обидеть, или поругаться. Я просто говорю что вижу, и понимаю. В моем понимании новичок, это когда малый набор инструментов, а не куча станков...

Expensive tools can help but aren't needed. You could build a cutting board with hand tools and homemade clamps. Or you could just not watch woodworking videos.

@syphlr1447 I'm not saying he was using hand tools, only that it could be made with hand tools. If you're complaining about the cost of the tools then don't buy them. Easy projects don't necessarily mean less tools. Sometimes between large builds I make a few quick projects, or easy ones. Building large and time consuming items is nice but so is having a break with a couple quick and easy tasks.

I have a sawstop, it's expensive but it's less than 3k, you can buy a different well made brand for 2k, my jointer I bought used for 300 but a good one can run you 1,500 and a good planer can be found anywhere between 200 and 700. Clamps are cheap but still less than 1k. I don't think you saw him use 30k of pro tools.
