I had a game where Napoleon III got exiled to America. I made him the head of the Pettie Bourgeoisie and then next thing I knew he was the head of the Republican Party and elected president. He then started a coup attempt to make the US an Autocracy lol.

it has some flaws like the new recognition system and treaty ports bug thing, but honestly all i cared for the update was perfomance and they did it really well!

@17:00 As US I've puppeted a bunch of little nations into my power block. Their prestige pools with mine but doesn't realy increase the rate of mandate attainment. Now I'm going to try puppeting Mexico and see if their status as a lessor/greator power modifier stacks with mine. The Georgia mix up is hilarious

Have you tried the new map style? If you pause the game and click on 'theme' you can edit the table and map graphics. There should be a Voice of the People paper map as well as the Spheres of Influence one.

One small change i noticed is the construction inefficiencies in South American countries. Colombia is much harder to build up due to the infrastructure problems they start with. It's really interesting.

Industrializing is much harder now as Russia since your capitalist are too poor to buy privatized buildings. You need to have a strong financial district to make privatization useful. Otherwise, your manor house will buy the buildings which leads to an increase landowner clout.

That is very interesting. Also more difficult with there being smaller states that don't have big pops and concentrations of resources.
