Is this a club fitting or swing lesson?

I paid £600 for three wedges, and my word how my game went....backwards....I was so disappointed after the revolution I had getting fit for an E1 putter. I had high expectations for the wedges, but sadly they didn’t come close to the feel of the Vokey, and the turf interaction was so much better with the Vokey, my fitter kept saying it’s 1000% a technique thing, maybe, but the Vokeys seemed to cut through the turf so much easier without chunking. For whatever reason the Edel dig and I either fat or thin delicate shots, the very reason I bought them was to avoid this. The biggest issue I have with an indoor fitting is a shot delivered ¼” or more behind the ball (a fat) will skid under the ball youd hardly notice. Outside on wet turf this would be a different feeling entirely.

I’m in the market for wedges and I’m planning to get fitted for Edel. I have the EAS 1.0 putter which I love. Hearing your story makes me a bit worried. Any update on the Edel wedge experience?

@@chobo0435 Just make sure you get fit outdoors, turf interaction is very different o hitting of a nylon range mat. the wedge will skid on nylon, lulling you into a false sense of good contact. I went back to Vokey and have never looked back. My conclusion is there is no wedge on the market worth £200 each that a major brand cannot offer. I now play glide 3, with a wider sole and have great turf interaction.

@@gimbalair thanks for your advice. I will try my best to try them on grass before I purchase.

What a class instructional video by the fitter. This is why you should get fitted by someone good 💥🏌🏻
