Any reason to play it over daggerfall, they seem to be pretty similar games with daggerfall having more content and polish especially with daggerfall unity

@@squidmanfedsfeds5301 Well, to experience it, the beginning of the series. It also is a good dungeon crawler. It does some things better than Daggerfall, but Daggerfall remains the pinnacle of the series, of course.

For anyone still unaware, Arena and Daggerfall were rereleased as freeware a while back, so if you'd like to experience a piece or two of gaming history there's hardly ever been a better time.

You make it sound like it was three weeks ago. The free version of Arena that was based on the floppy version and came with DOSBox was released NINETEEN years ago. I remember being hyped, downloading and setting it up, then giving up because I couldn't figure out where to go for the main quest, that's how old I am ;_; I did finally do a complete playthrough two years ago and really enjoyed it! Just like Daggerfall and Battlespire you gotta know what you're doing.
