I’m so glad I stumbled upon your video. I was trying to explain this to people for years now. Approaching my seventh decade of life I watched the systematic undoing of the progressive institutions of FDR by the Republicans (and Democrats) since the 1980’s. It took Neoliberals 50+ years to get us here, took the small wins and kept their vision to get there. So what we want will take time to achieve. Love that now that we have time, to plan.. and look towards 2026. We need to double the amount of progressives in Congress, State Houses etc every year. Then chip away, for instance.. lower the age to get Medicare from 65 to 55, then 45.. etc.

@@anthraxfan93 Interestingly enough, a progressive lowering of the age requirement was the original idea for Medicare, to the extent that, by now, everyone would be covered. Regrettably, that language was taken out of the legislation ostensibly in the interest of passage by Congress.
