My A-grades showed me how to cut conduit off terminated cables that aren't live with conduit cutters (as you've done) and with tin snips (similar way, just keep cutting from both sides progressively until you reach the centre). Only 2 ways I know of so far. Great video though!

Thank you for your helpful video. Could I ask if I can run 1.5 or 2.5mm normal cable through underground (orange coloured) conduit? This will be for water feature in my backyard.
