An Elf And A Werewolf Walk Into A Bar | Tavern Talk (Tavern Manager Visual Novel - Demo)

Tavern Talk is a very charming visual novel type of game where we play as the tavern keeper of a tavern but we have the magical ability to make drinks that can shape people's destiny! Fancy!
As the barkeep we chat with various folks, including an adorable but anxious elf and a straightforward wolf person, and they tall us their woes, their hopes, their dreams and also they tell us details of what's happening outside the tavern. We can then use these little snippets of information to form quests which can then be advertised on our quest board and picked up by adventurers!
To help the adventurers we get to mix special drinks to enhance their abilities. Some can make them quicker, others make them tougher, but we have to mix them in a specific way to get the right effect. The drinks affect the fate of our adventurer patrons so we have to be careful!
Oh, and it goes without saying but this is a visual novel sort of thing so there's quite a lot of reading and words!

You Walk into A Tavern…
…and find yourself as the owner of the Wayfarer’s Inn, a seemingly ordinary tavern in the middle of the world - or so you would think.
You were blessed with a special gift: Create beverages infused with magic that can influence someone's fate! Across the realm you are known for helping adventurers on their quests. Be it a potion of seething fury or prancing swords, work your craft and lead them towards their destiny.
Listen to stories of boasting glory and utter failure as adventurers, chipper and grim, find their way into your small cozy tavern. Some are looking for rest, others for their next thrill.
All is well, until a long forgotten evil looms on the horizon - every quest, every rumor and conversation seems intertwined with the fate of the world.

Choose from a growing assemblage of recipes to prepare drinks for your patrons - but beware, your choice will alter their fate and the path their quests will take.

Soon, you realize everything is intertwined and uncover the secrets of an old evil looming over the star-freckled sky. Piece together the fragments in your little study and reveal the darkness that is about to threaten the whole of Asteria (that’s the world you live in btw).

The Wayfarer's Inn is a safe haven to a colorful cast of characters inspired by popular tropes from fantasy TTRPGs like Dungeons & Dragons. Get to know their unique personalities, quirks and flaws, and help them find a place that feels like home.
