Denzel Washington should have gotten an award for this film. Here he is as the secondary character in this powerful scene saying nothing . But his eyes were saying everything. Great directing.... It's the moment where Joe becomes friends with Andrew. I still cry watching it.

I felt like it was the moment when he realized that Andy was a human being...another life on Earth who values his as much as anyone else, but is also faced with the reality that he may die in the uncertainty of the outcome of his trial.

This movie is one of my top five. This scene alone really is one that you will never forget.I remember watching it opening night at 7pm showing in the winter of 94. Not a single dry eye was in that jam packed theater. I myself went home and hugged my family right after just like Joe did in the film. Life is so precious and short so remember to be kind to others because its effortless💓
