This hurricane was pretty bad for some people, the screen of one of my neighbors porches was on their roof around their chimney, and another one of the screens of one of my other neighbors porches was in their front yard, the only damage I got was some of the fence fell down and our mail box fell down, and we were without power from Sunday afternoon until about 2 hours ago, we had to throw away everything in our fridges and freezers too.

The utility trucks you seen parked at epcot were from the north.My cousin was part of it he group came from Missouri.They parked the trucks there then the Disney buses took them to the resorts to stay overnight.They then took off to Miamia on monday into the belly of the storm.After the storm let up they went to the keys to restore power.So they weren't tree trimmers

Man Hurricane Irma hit harder in Miami! My grandparents had a tree fall in the middle of the neighborhood road, they had no light for 2 weeks, and there backyard was damaged. Trust me... their house is 15 years old, so if Irma was Category 5 the house would have blown away.

That's exactly what we got here in Miami. Down trees, palm trees and power. The wind was really strong and moderate rain. We had tornadoes touch down blew off power transformers. The Florida key got hit with a cat 4. We were expecting a cat 4 but seemed like a 1. We got lucky. It was supposed to be a direct hit to So Florida. My power went off for 12 hrs. Many residents without power like neighbors across us don't have power still on a Saturday.

I don't know why everyone was freaking out. Orlando was never supposed to get nearly as bad of damage as Miami or other coastal cities anyway, not to mention the fact that WDW buildings and rides are made to withstand 200MPH winds. People were acting like it was going to become Six Flags New Orleans or something.
@benjacobs574
@benjacobs574 6 жыл бұрын
computerkid1416, I know, right? On ResortTV1 live streams, everyone was telling them to be safe and all, and the entire time I was thinking that Orlando won't be affected that badly(a couple of trees down, some damage to houses maybe, possible minor flooding from the rain).
@ab7886
@ab7886 6 жыл бұрын
computerkid1416 I have many friends in the orlando area and ALL of them have major damage, power loss, etc. and here we are 4 days after the storm and many are still without the essentials. This storm was larger than the entire state of florida. Late Sunday night the track of Hurricane Irma shifted from going NW to NE which put the hurricane even closer to Orlando than what was even predicted. Maybe you don't watch the news but this Hurricane was entended to do a lot of damage to the entire peninsula of the state of Florida. Just because Orlando is not a coastal city like Miami doesn't mean they still won't feel the effects of a hurricane. Hurricanes still has substantial winds, rains and even tornadoes that spawn. So for you to sit there and say "I don't know why everyone was freaking out." That's why!!!! Maybe instead of insult us Floridian's who just took a major hit to the entire state maybe you could have a little more compassion towards us. I myself live in Jacksonville, Florida. This storm has not given us flooding to this extent since the 60's. Even tough we only had a strong tropical storm/weak category one hurricane here our storm surge was equal to a category 3 hurricane storm surge. Many of my friends even here in Jacksonville are still without power and don't know when it will even get it back on.

AB78 what do you cry about? You people have a thunderstorm and you freak out. What if no power? What if no water? Didn't you prepare? Didn't you know there was not gonna be all of those services? You're such a baby, I have experienced many hurricanes in the Mexican Caribbean and we actually get ready for 2 whole weeks without the essentials and don't cry and complain like babies. We just patiently wait with non-perishable canned food and water for two weeks, and even start working or going back to school before power is fully restored and we're okay with that.
@ab7886
@ab7886 6 жыл бұрын
Daniel Josue Balam Ceballos who said anything about crying. I'm far from crying bitch. Who freaked out. Not me, in fact I actually like the anticipation of a hurricane and having it come. It wasn't thunderstorm or maybe in your eyes it was. Actually I did prepare with my generator, canned food, bottled water. However sometimes even if you do prepare its still not enough especially if city services haven't been restored. (City services water, electric, grocery stores being open for days after the storm). What you don't know is that if I lose power I also lose my water as well because I'm not on city services like others are. So that mean no showers for the duriation of having no power. No one is even acting like a baby you fucking dick. Good for you for experiencing many hurricanes in the mexican caribbean, do you want a hero cookie for that? I've experienced many hurricanes as well so who cares about you and your exeperiences. And wow like you're the only person whose ever went back to school/work without services being fully restored. I have too and we do what we can to make it through the day to do what is needed to be done. Again we're fine with that as well. We wait patiently as well for it to come and do what ever damage it wants to do and go away. Like L Austin said who the fuck cares about you and your nasty ass country. Go run your dick filled mouth somewhere's else because who are you to sit there and judge someone else for a disater that we just went through. GTFOB!

I live near Gainesville, and stayed up all night, freaking out, because I made the mistake of watching storm coverage on TV. When storm was falling apart (I was watching it on numerous weather apps) they still reported like it was a cat 4. I feel because Harvey happened a week or so before, everyone had Harveyphobia. When the center of a hurricane hits land (not a a little island or groups of islands) the eye loses function of water absorption, and even a strong beast of a convection machine like Irma, loses ability to continue, and dies fast. It's happened numerous times, I remember Charley, Francis, and Jeanne in 04, hurricanes cross crossed the state, had the eye over and close to Gainesville, and they ended up being rain events, with some strong gusts. The fact that they said if it hit in Everglades as a 4-5 and it would hit north Fl. As a 3 possible weak 4, was wrong in their part, and caused unnecessary fear and mass evacuations that made it harder for people who had a real reason to evacuate. Thanks a lot Mike Bettes, you don't realize how lucky you didn't get decapitated by a tuna can lid, and F**k you Jim Cantore, Emmy Whore, fearmongering, Douche bag, hype the shit out of every storm, Tranny loving Bastard. Sorry for the rant, been a long few days.
