i like how in the end he's basically like "yeah frick you poor gross stupid workers youo're so stupid because you're the poor majority" and then gets surprised when they get mad at him. Also his lovely solution at the end to teach poor kids to be his liberal army like lol what a goofy man. I had to read this for a school project but I didn't expect how topical it would be!

It is not goofy in the end when he finally realised, having been pushed into a corner, that even among those he called stupid there may be some bright sparks. That’s not a stupid thing, that’s a sensible thing, perhaps one he should have thought of in the first place but he has come to understand that even among the poor there may be more than he suspected.
