Cool! i did not know you could own a FN FAL? L1A1 in Ireland, how does the rifle handle? Funny thing India was going to make a L1A1 clone in .303 until FN stopped them.

Available here alright but pricey and has to be manual operation,

@@Irishshootingchannel That`s a bit of a sad thing to hear but better like that then the junker`s blowtorce. Here in PR we get AR type rifles at a fair price but we do find FN FALs sometimes mostly PSA stuff.

An FAL is very high on the list of guns I'd like to get but I kind of doubt I'll ever have enough money to buy one. I much prefer .308 rifles to rifles chambered for intermediate cartridges and in addition to all the obvious reasons why it would be cool to have and shoot an FAL I'd like to compare all the major .308 rifles to each other which I can't as well when all I have is an AR-10.

Is it awkward to cycle?...i ask because obviously a bolt action is ergonomically designed to be operated in single shot whereas the way it has to be legally in Ireland and the uk i think, means cocking the action everytime?.....must be a pain if you where firing a few rounds off?....id love the deac, even in eu spec, but they are bleeding expensive, maybe one day 😊😊😊😊

@steelhelmetstan7305 yes it would indeed. The club I attend isn't very keen on filming there hence why I recycle the same shooting footage so much.
