I have not yet made a wreath, but I am planning to knit a Norwegian one next year. I have already knitted a huge quantity of different Norwegian Christmas tree baubles in red and creamy white (every bauble is different), which I am stuffing with natural battens, and today I started crocheting the loops. A time consuming job. It was and is worth all the effort. I do love your candy cane wreaths. Well done! Ginger bread houses are such fun. I have seen these Ginger houses in different stages of collapse... Persevere. You are very entertaining! 😊 Thank you so much.

Yes i tried to make one with my Daughter many years ago and had the same results, we just sat and ate the flipping roof and walls, trouble was i was in floods of laughter but she was in floods of tears. I had so much fun watching you with that Gingerbread house!!! You really did a great job decorating with the icing - to tell you the truth the last time I made a Gingerbread house like that I think I used the glue gun to hold the sides together, the icing just isn't strong enough. Leonora, Don't feel so bad! This happened to us 3 years in a row! Then... this our year, Target Store, in America came out with gingerbread houses that were already built! My granddaughters has a blast just putting on the the final candy decir.decor., with no crying because the Gingerbread house structure was already built!

Lock everything in with twist ties so much easier to fasten everything. No need for wiring or glue. Simply twist tie the oranges and snip. I craft and use these for gardening and hanging anything indoor or outdoor decor. Candy canes are so adorable. I love gingerbread people so cute. I love your creations, Leonora.

Your candy cane wreaths are magnificent!!! Don't worry too much about the gingerbread house. You're not the only one having issues with building one, I've seen a few videos with the same end result. I think the problem is that the sugar mixture to make the "cement", is not thick/strong enough and doesn't set fast enough for the house to stand. At least you tried and it was entertaining!

😂😂😂You are not alone darling Leonora!! We made one with the youngest members of our family a few years ago...first one perfect, fantastic, gold star ✨...second one died!! We "glued" together a number of times and it fell apart. We got it together, got it into the car and it died once again. Rubble! To the which a young boy pronounced "nevermind, we're going to eat it anyway it's fiiine!" Mummy was deflated, exhausted and had to have a medicinal (of course) glass of port 🍷 We have video evidence of this atrocity. So you have joined the flat gingerbread house club 😂😂😂. Much love xx
