Easiest way for me has been lather hands with soap and pull the ring off ! Works like a charm and pretty quick.

Works for me too lol I had to get wedding bands in two sizes up after we got married & covid but I’ve never gone to get my engagement ring re sized so it’s still a size 5 & sometimes hurts when my fingers swell or always gets stuck so I use hand soap. I wear a size 7 now 😅

While in a jewelry store with a friend, a salesperson talked me into trying on a ring I was admiring. It got stuck, and I panicked because I couldn't afford to buy it. The store owner said no worries and sprayed Windex on my finger. The ring came off. I don't know how. Maybe the amonia? I guess the Dad in "My Big, Fat Greek Wedding" knew his stuff. 😆

When the grease/oil, or soap doesn’t work, the floss method is the way to go. Great video. You might just save someone an ER visit.

R.I.C.E. = R for rest, I for ice, C for compression, E for elevation. This is good advice for any swelling. Works for my arthritic hands and occasional swollen ankles. For the Compression, I use the medical tape that sticks to itself but not to skin. Wrap tightly enough to compress but not cut off circulation.

And relaxing your hand and fingers instead of our natural tendancy to tense up our hands stiffening our finger out so we can yank at the ring is actually counter productive relax and put hand in ice cold dish soapy or laundry detergent soapy water...just make sure you dont let your ring go down the sink drain!
