Geez dont just cut of the soil, plant seeds separately, so you dont damage the roots by cutting. They are so important in the early growth stage. If you do one wrong cut like that you can kill the tree or any type of sapling.

Hello my friend! I love your channel I have a similar project I'm working on with this same tree, I picked the seed pod when I was in the caribbean from a beautiful giant tree, and the movement of the trunk is already really interesting! I'm running into an issue where a lot of the older leaves are just turning yellow and falling off, while the new ones are growing well. Is this normal, or am I doing something wrong with this tree? Thanks, and all the best!

Saw a documentary on bonsai, taking a cutting from a tree, and then torturing it by twisting, and binding it down, for years, sometimes decades or centuries to become the dwarfed, distorted, tree that you want, I do think they look spectacular, but there's got to be a better way to do it....... besides a fake one, maybe a mutation.

What's the dimensions of wood pot or container your using for this bonsai?
@FromSeedtoBonsai
@FromSeedtoBonsai Жыл бұрын
The wooden pot is 20inches long, 15 inches wide and height 6 inches. Actually um using this as a training pot moreover allowing my plant to grow faster. So its not essential to maintain the exact size. But remember to choose a shallow pot. It will help to maintain the structure of root base.

My royal poinciana just got repotted and the leaves are turning yellow, i just cut off the yellowing branches, is that the right move?
@FromSeedtoBonsai
@FromSeedtoBonsai Жыл бұрын
First of all the leaves of royal poinciana turns yellow naturally during natural defoliation period. Secondly it might get yellowish after repotting bcoz of hard Root pruning. Anthother thing, cutting of branches may froce to die back the whole brach. This happned to me so many time! From my personal experience Solution is, keep 2/3 leaves and then cutoff the branch. In your case, probably it was not the right move 🤧 Let me know the update
