Bringing boxes or bags to load up all your stuff while you hunt is the WAY TO DO IT. Not only does it help you carry it all, they always give you the stuff so much cheaper in total because they don't really want to look through and price out each item (at least not most of the time) depending on what you have in there. I use that technique ALL the time at estate sales :)

Yay!! A video to wake up to!!! My favorite!! And laughs at the end lol highlights!! I had those growing up. Alston’s grandmother actually has been ordering the kids highlights for the last 10 years. I don’t have the heart to tell her the kids are too old now 😂😬 but we still love the hidden picture pages. Great video! My heart sank when u passed the granny closet lol those are my favorite places to find goodies (especially for me) 🤷🏻♀️

Lol. Oh yeah, I forgot you love those granny clothes! 😂 so funny on the highlights! I’ve had older relatives do stuff like that when I was a kid. They think you are 5 years old forever. 😂 glad to give you a vid to wake up to. Enjoy your special day!

I (the guy from Moravia) spent about an hour in that room where you found the Highlights magazines. I was in there before you got there. I dug deep and found lots of neat old books and vintage paper. But I completely missed the Highlights magazines (which I would have picked up in a heartbeat) because they were covered with the copy paper and other modern supplies. Lesson learned. That won't happen again. :-) It was a great sale, but I wish they let us in the basement and attic. I took a quick look in the BIG dumpster in the front yard before leaving. It was almost full. So they filled a dumpster BEFORE the sale! My wife picked up 4 very nice nativity sets, which is a BOLO for her. I'm sure we'll meet again at another sale someday. We enjoy your videos.
@PrimeTimeTreasureHunter5 жыл бұрын
Thanks Hedrick! It was great to meet you both! Glad to pass on the Highlights tip! Yeah, estate sale dealers often thrown lots of stuff away in dumpsters before the sale because the houses are often so chaotic that ppl cannot walk through the home if they did not do that. Some valuable stuff can be thrown out when they do that. Good job on the nativity sets! Hope to see you again soon! Thanks for watching and commenting!

@@PrimeTimeTreasureHunter I imagine those Merrell ones? I have a pair of hiking boots I paid $200 for, so I have had my eyes out for a bit for that kind of stuff haha. I went new because I usually have toe issues and just want a good product when it comes to survival. Mine are Keen boots. Only been on one hike with them so far though. But once the snow is gone I will get out some more to do it. Not a big fan of slippery surfaces at high elevation. Keep your eye out for hiking backpacks too! I found a really nice one I use that was $1 at a sale.

Why did you put the safety pins in your box individually, instead of just putting the entire case of pins in your box?
@PrimeTimeTreasureHunter5 жыл бұрын
Because that makes it more of a target for the dealer to jack the price up on them. Put in individually and they didn’t even factor them into the price. 😃
