An EV6 Driver Drives an EV9 - but will beeps and bongs Kia have added drive him crazy?

All those beeps and bongs are a requirement for the EU. It is now mandatory for cars produced in/for the EU to have a warning for the speed limit changes which cannot be disabled permanently. I don't know if it is possible for Kia/Hyundai to distinguish between EU and UK vehicles, otherwise perhaps they could provide a UK update that does not have the same requirements. May be worth any owners who are annoyed with the beeps and bongs, making that request to Kia/Hyundai.

indeed. Although having done some research since the video I have found that the EU mandate doesn't require a beep or bong infact it mentions these may be dustracting. A visual indicator or haptic is allowed.

Nice video Garry. There is more storage in the rear under the drivers armrest. The drawer pulls out to give quite a big cubby space for the second row passengers.

Thanks. Yes found that afterwards. It was more the lack of driver storage that I found strange but I guess they prioritised giving the rear passengers some storage

A short press of the steering wheel mute button will silence the audio like normal, but a long press will now stop the audible speed limit warning; confirmed by a pop-up on the main infotainment display.

forgive me going back in time, but i wanted your opinion on the jag\kia debate. I drove my eniro to test drive an se ipace, and tbh, i wasnt blown away. It was nice, but i was more impressed with how close my kia came to the jag in quality than anything else. Would you say i must be mad to think like that, or would you sort of agree ?

I definitely agree. I suspect if my EV6 had an Audi badge on it no-one would bat an eyelid.

Good eyes. I'd turned the speed information back on at that point which meant the beeps were back as well,

I have - they did - but at least you can control them to some extent.
