Billy Connolly has to be the most positive, optimistic human being considering the way he and his sister were brought up. He is just incredibly brilliant in everything he does and he brings us all such joy! It's wonderful to pick up on his energy. And I could listen to him speak endlessly.❤🌻

I remember watching this interview when it aired originally in the 90s. I loved it, and I’m so excited to get a chance to see it again 🤩 Thank you for sharing!

Saw Billy in Cairns, Australia. It's not a huge city but he filled the entire convention centre. Must have been a third of the population there. Nearly three hours of jaw aching laughter. He was phenomenal. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

You know that question people sometimes get asked, "what four people would you invite to dinner?' Billy would be the first picked for me. What an interesting and intelligent man. His answers were a lovely mix of seriousness, comedy and charm. One of the greats.

The four people I'd invite are, Billy, Mr Connolly, Dr Billy Connolly and Sir Billy Connolly. 😂😂😂😂😂😂

It’s a gift always being happy. I am fortunate enough to be blessed with feeling happy most of the time and I often wonder why. I don’t have BCs talent for comedic wisdom but I have recognised some people are innately depressed and some people are innately content and positive. I have not had a charmed life. I have experienced a difficult abusive childhood, loss and misfortune but my brain tells me “this will pass” and choosing happiness is a choice not an emotion that you wait for. It’s an interesting concept, the reverse of chronic depression. I realise I am blessed and so is BC and we are both grateful for our gift.

My younger brother is essentially a happy person by default. Me,I have to work at it. A person makes conscious choices. Is the glass half empty or half full ? Make jokes or get wound up about how difficult the job is ? I got told off in my 20s about that. The day goes hard or easy. Take your pick how you contribute to that. Tell someone,'all the best ' ,and see how they react. Better than, you sonofabitch. Take your pick.

Brilliant story about South Central NY. Buddy of mine got lost in New York and walked up to a bunch of black guys sitting on steps. "What the fuck do you want". Looking for way back to hotel. "Are you from Ireland?". Yes. "Follow me"

you can also find your lost child inside of you that you have rejected because you were abused neglected assaulted by your parents relatives so let God in Jesus Christ's holiest name abbafather daddy God openings healings curings hands on you visitors counselors winners warriors conquerors sending you now alpha omega amen

The places where children are often abused - according to media during my lifetime - is within the church. Jesus Christ has little to do with Christianity, and Christians aren't remotely Christlike. In any case, Christ was executed for being a danger to the State twenty centuries ago. We need another model, methinks.
