Had to sleep with my third baby. It was a very cold winter when she was born. It was so cold in my bedroom that my glass of water on my nightstand froze solid overnight. So the first 6 weeks she slept on my chest with a blanket over us. For 6 weeks I slept on my back and did not roll over or even moved. At 6 weeks I woke up in mid roll and that is when I knew it was time to put her in the crib. Blanket material onesies are the best thing in the winter for a baby. No waking up crying cause they got cold when the blanket slipped off. Anything that gives you a few more minutes of sleep is a gift from God!

Imagine what kind of muppet gives that interview a thumbs down. That was their big achievement of their day.

They're not muppets, they just didn't like it. That's the way of the world., get used to it. The muppet is the person who calls a refuge for crazy people like this one, home.

Thank you Billy Connolly. I took all my kids to bed with me. Only those close to me new I took the babies to bed with me. It was a big no, no. I attached them to me and changed them over half way through the night. I had great nights sleep. But, all they had to do was snort and I was instantly awake. If I didn’t change them over during the night I’d end up with the rock of Gibraltar on one side and a fried egg on the other. Loved every minute of it. Trouble is it went too fast.

What Billy says about babies and crib death (or sudden infant death syndrome) is true. Babies in India also don't suffer this affliction because they generally sleep with a parent or grandparent or caregiver. I had my children in bed with me until they were about 6-7 months when they transitioned to their own bed and of course they were old enough then to roll if needed to clear their airway. A very funny man with some wise words too!

I'm the same as Billy when walking around but I'm not deep in thought but I'm in the zone kind of thing, I could walk past 5 famous people in the street but I won't notice as I tend to look down at the ground when walking to places, I don't look straight ahead Hell, I've walked right past my own sister and never batted an eye until she shouted "you just going to ignore me then"

That’s a hell of a rough run you’ve had. You never realise at the time just how strong are to make it through the hard stuff and break away from it. I hope your babies, now they’re grown, made sure you knew just how grateful they are for that bravery and that you’ve found a soft peaceful place in your life to enjoy and live the good times :) god bless sister
