I have a similar impacted wisdom teeth story, but in reverse! I found out I had impacted wisdom teeth on both sides years ago and my dentist advised me it was too dangerous to remove them, so leave them be. Then I moved and went to a new dentist recently who took an x-ray and said I had a slight shadow around one of them and he wanted to check it again in a year. When I got out to the front desk to pay, she informed me the dentist had referred me to a specialist to take an MRI. The next day I got a call from them saying I should do the surgery and book an appointment with them immediately. So now I need a new dentist because I'm not doing no surgery until that shadow becomes a dementor and sucks my soul out of my body lol

I am a WIMP with dental procedures & I had two impacted wisdom teeth and 2 normal. When they became painful I had them all removed and it went very well! And the recovery was pretty easy!

Hi Joe, what you said about your wisdom teeth, is exactly what my mum has. Impacted wisdom tooth and her dentist said they don't need to do anything for a long time, or if it gets painful. Same experience as you Joe. Thankfully my teeth are fine. All the brushing seems to have worked for me, for now.

Diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) is used to make diesel burn cleaner and you can see how to refill it in a quick tutorial! They sell it as most gas stations here in the US, not sure how it is in UK though. We had the same thing happen with our van recently and were super confused too, hope this helps! 🤗

Diesel Exhaust Fluid is also known as adblu . There is a blue filler cap next to the Diesel filler where this is added. Makes the engine run cleaner.

I had that exact same dentist experience when I was younger! We refer to him as the butcher dentist looking back now. Will never forget the feeling of the pliers pulling so hard my head was moving! Also, I was definitely one of those that brought sweets to your book signings🤣

Your dentist story was so much like mine . I bit my dentist fingers and got banned from that surgery. Ended up having gas and air at another surgery that was a two bus journey away as I think others had heard about me 😂 and we needed to find one that could do gas and air to knock me out.. I had really weird dreams and have hated the dentist since.. but I still go..I am SO SO brave 😂😂

I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth out by surgery over 25 years ago I am glad I did, also had 6 teeth removed in one go as a child 😢 it’s not fun, and I have never gone back to the dentist much due to that so I know how you feel. Enjoying your vlogs Joe.

Oh gosh, so sorry about that dentist you had when you were a kid! I've always hated going to the doctors and dentist. When I was a kid they had to send me to a kids dentist and put me to sleep for some fillings because I was so scared. I've gotten better since being an adult and I actually had to have a root canal yesterday for a cracked tooth. Praying it worked properly.

I’m the generation above you Joe & I definitely really hate going to the dentist (but am grateful to them) & also am beginning a string of appointments, fillings & cleanings in a couple of weeks. I also get a bad head with the weather & get paranoid over missing a train/plane/being late. And I rescue &/or feed insects (not spiders), birds & animals like you do. ‘eur’ (as in connoisseur/secateurs/masseur/entrepreneur) is pronounced like the ‘ir’ in bird, the ‘or’ in word or the ‘ur’ in fur ❤

Thank goodness for your new dentist because yes! I actually had my adult teeth removed so my wisdom teeth could grow in naturally. Sadly however, I didn't think about them being soft until they have time to harden. So one wisdom teeth is fine and the second buckled/lead to a cavity ;; BUT fun fact! Born as a preemie, I do not have my bottom wisdom teeth at all! It's just a bundle of nerves, which yes make me need more numbing than the avg person. : - )

Gosh Joe I'm sorry to hear your dentist story! I absolutely understand. I had 2 teeth start developing when I had chicken pox as a kid so they were affected and grew in kind of falling apart. I needed a filling and I was 6 years old and my mum had just died so i was terrified of being away from my dad but they wouldn't let him in the room. In the end i didn't get it done because i was just too upset. I was too scared to have anything done after that so they just continued to be there. Fortunately they've never caused any MAJOR issues **also touch wood** but the dentist I had growing up was pretty mean. She was always trying to scare me into getting things sorted out and being like "pfft how old are you now? Oh well they'll probably flare up when you're doing exams or going on holiday" I was already scared that was the point!! I didn't go for years and years when their records got lost and they stopped sending me appointments. I've been in the past few years and they're definitely SO much nicer and understanding now. But I'm the same i go in like feeling ready for a fight and I already have anxiety issues. I had my first filling ever last year and it was very quick and easy❤ I'm glad your new one is nicer. They definitely seem to be of a "if it's not bothering you then we leave it alone" mind now. Thank god 😅

You are definately a HSP person. I am too, along with 15% of people. There are massive variations. I am the same with baked beans, etc, and dentists. There are dentists who understand HSP and pain management. It is such a special trait to have.. heightened feels. You feel the good stuff deeper, too 😅

Like you I have awful dentist trauma both as a child and as a 20-something… won’t go into the childhood thing as was horrific, but also had an extraction in my 20’s that was so bad as the dentist struggled to get it loosened and ended up pulling my head around and injuring my neck. Also left half of the roots in my mouth, didn’t tell me, and I was in pain until the root worked its way out 😫. I am now left without a dentist as mine has gone private so I’m on the hunt for an NHS one in the south west (highly unlikely to happen…!)

Omg yes the dentist trauma is so bad for me. As a little kid, I had a dentist tell my mum I had the worst test she’d ever seen (my teeth are fine- I just had irritated gums.) and she essentially told my mum she’s a bad parent. It traumatised me and I refused the dentist for so long. Eventually I got braces and that helped me get over my fear… until a dental nurse took photos of my teeth to send to the ortho because she was worried that I wasn’t cleaning them well and that I’d get damage (I have adhd- so cleaning my teeth with braces was really hard for me to do fully all the time.) and she was very condescending. My fear came back after that- and I haven’t been back to the dentist since I got my braces off

Been petrified of dentists all my life I used to shake and avoid going I went private during covid as has a broken tooth the best decision and I now have no fear Stick with it and change dentists till you find one you trust

I had to have 4 teeth out when I was getting my braces. As the dentist was trying to take a tooth out he thought it was a good idea to tell me that he used to be a cow's dentist and my tooth was harder to get out that a cows. He then decided he needed to kneel on my chest to get more leverage. 😂😂

I was traumatised by a Dentist when I was a child he was later investigated and was no longer aloud to practice so I have never been back to a dentist, luckily I’ve got good teeth and haven’t had to.
