I think saying "bless you" in public is a good tension reliever. I've said it to strangers who sneeze loudly as they walk past me. I've said it from my bedroom with my window open when my neighbour sneezed in their garden (except the lady who sneezes like 20 times at once in the summer poor woman must be suffering enough).
