Music, hymns, poetry, and scripture are stored in a different part of the brain than memory and language. After her first stroke, my mother could not make a sentence, but she could sing every hymn she had ever heard. It calmed her when all else failed. She had both expressive and receptive aphasia, so she could not communicate any other way.

Thank you both and Beth Moore I was taught by you the best and when it all started as I was jn shock I prayed for discernment and knew that u and ore that know Jesus so well knew truth. IN the mess I was so blessed by your truth. When it was all christians or conservatives and I was thinking yhe cloud of deception was just engulfing too many I loved. I came across your book last year, the title caught my eye because I went through a similar situation in early 2021. After almost two decades in the church I walked away after the Pastor stated they should proclaim martial law and stay in power. It is what I call a study read, digging into the scriptures you reference and going back to the text until revelation comes. The part where you explained we are exiles in this world really resonated with me. It has helped me continue to focus on Jesus and not what is going on in the world. Thank you for helping to affirm that in my heart.

What a wonderful way to spend my evening! I love you both! It was so hard during the awful years of COVID to see a power-hungry church follow after Trump, when it was the perfect opportunity to humbly and faithfully minister to those in need and fear. I loved how Dr. Moore reminded us that “Jesus is at the right hand of the Father and He is fine!” TRUTH! He is continuing to build His Church, and we do not need to wring our hands. I have his new book and can’t wait to get into it! Thanks for a great night!❤

Thank you so much, Russell, for pointing out that the loneliness is not only with the younger people. I lost my sister during the pandemic, and a number of close friends also moved out of my area. It is more difficult to strike up new connections at an older age when it simply takes time to forge the deep friendships that are so meaningful. I have enough acquaintances to get by, but they are too busy for adding extra bonds to an already full schedule.

Not me in Ky and yes s Baptist.. not now.. but Christian Church still knew my parents were but not until the Trump years dod I get told by other conservatives if I voted democrat I was going to hell. !! Maybe because we are in the middle with a Democratic Gov. I really thought my Pastor at the S Baptist church I was member may have been a Democrat... I still believe in God and Jesus but I have abandoned religion when I saw fine religious folks go for Donald Trump. That act alone freed up my Sundays. That is when I knew that religion was complete BS.
