Tucker's presentation begins at 5:51.
This event was held October 16, 2018 in Alameda, CA and was hosted by the Independent Institute.
This is a remastered version of a previously posted video. Original version:
• An Evening with Tucker...
Buy Tucker Carlson’s book, “Ship of Fools: How a Selfish Ruling Class Is Bringing America to the Brink of Revolution”
amzn.to/3PDQ8e3
Tucker Carlson discusses America's elites, a group whose power and wealth from government privilege have grown beyond imagination even as the rest of the country has floundered. The people who run America now barely interact with it, and in his #1 New York Times, best-selling book, "Ship of Fools," Carlson offers a blistering critique of our new overlords. Traditional liberals who worried about whales and defended free speech have been replaced by authoritarians who hide their hard-edged agenda behind identity politics. They’ll fleece you while lecturing you about bathrooms, plastic straws, and safe spaces.
“Left and right,” Carlson says, “are no longer meaningful categories in America. The rift is between those who benefit from the status quo, and those who don’t.” Our leaders are fools, Carlson concludes, “unaware that they are captains of a sinking ship.” At this event, and in his signature fearless and witty style, he addresses the all-important question: How do we put the country back on course?

I'm a life long Democrat. I'm now a free thinker. I love his speech. I don't watch CNN or Fox. I can think for myself. I was trained to do this in school & as a former federal agent. If I need to be informed on an issue, I'll watch podcasts for hours to understand an issue to see it from all sides. Lincoln surrounded himself with rivals during his presidency. Book is called "Team of Rivals." Read it and stop bitching about tiny differences in this great democracy! I was born in Vietnam but made in America! I came here legally. Close the borders.

The country is already lost. If Trump wins again in 2024, it will be a long hard road of rehabilitation and there will probably be a civil war. Leftists will make others’ lives a living hell because they’ve been hoodwinked and will not be able to accept the truth. History repeats itself. Let us all turn to God this time for protection.

Trump should understand the Constitution better and he would have fared better. I agree with your points unfortunately voters vote against someone and not for someone. And computer voting machines need software to work but software is programmed to do what the programmer wants and it will delete the code that runs it and would reveal the sneaky stuff it used to throw out votes or change them. Try playing Texas Hold Em online for fun then step up to play for real dollars and suddenly you get beat with 4 of a kind over and over by straight flushes! You know those hands do not appear much when using a real deck and 6 players! That lesson I paid 100 bucks to learn! And here is a fact: It is not a secret that the DOJ is corrupt. Read a book by Sidney Powell "LICENSED TO LIE" for an eye opener!

When Trump came down the escalator on June 16, 2015 I called my good friend from Europe and told her she was looking at the next president. Her response was she could only hope that was true. When John McCain won the nomination in 2008 it was difficult to get republicans to put his lawn sign on their yard. When Mitt Romney got the nomination in 2012 republicans refused to put his lawn signs out. The signs stayed piled up at headquarters. When Paul Ryan became Speaker republicans in my circle considered it their line in the sand. Trump winning did not take us by surprise. It was an answer to our prayers. Today’s elites are standing far behind the line. So far in fact they do not know a line has been drawn. This storm has been brewing for many years and it is about to rain.

If RNC had NOT Blackballed Ron Paul 2008 John McStain would never have been nominated and Obama would not have been elected. Then they pulled their shenanigans again a selected Romney in 2012 after once agin blackballing Ron Paul. They did all kinds of things to keep Ron Paul from final vote even delaying busses full of delegates long enough to miss the vote. I absolutely refused to vote FOR McStain or Romney. It took 8 years of Obama to wake republicans up. Even though they did try very hard to select Jeb Bush or ANY RINO other than Trump. It took 3 years of Biden to wake up the rest of the Conservatives along with the majority of Democrats resulting in overwhelming support for Making America First resulting in the MAGA Movement. DNC found out the same bitter lesson when they blackballed the BURN in 2016 and 20. Seems like they had their ringer in the 2020 Congress when Paul Ryan's bud, Kevin McCarthy was appointed Speaker of the House #Trump2024 #MAGA #CloseTheBorder 🎃

I think that Joyce Meyer saying it’s all the best! If we are baking our cake and we’re hiding our little bit of dogs poop inside the batter we maybe don’t see it all in them mixture but it’s all still in the mix and it’s still stinky and dirty but it’s all looks good on the outside!

In the county I live in? Your guilty as soon as a cop decides you did something he didn't like! If you want to plead innocent you have to go to their courthouse and tell them you're innocent! And if you don't have money for a "real" attorney? You're screwed!

Tucker is right with free trade. More exactly he meant the "forced free trade" agreements, where every participant nation has to accept every deal, even it destroyed parts of its economy. "Free free trade" never had been a problem, both nations allowes the deals when both nations benefit of it. Rodrik explains exactly, how "forced free trade" only benefit all participant nations, if all of them had full employment before it starts. (OK, then you don't really need force.) Why do so many influential people stick to the propaganda that "forced free trade" brings full employment in all nations, what's proven wrong? One has to look after the parasites, who profit from "forced free trade" more than from agreements, that helps the middle class in all participant nations.

Remember the Fair Trade Agreement? I didn't think so. I was a school kid at the time and decided that the USA wasn't interested in international agreements that were fair to the people of the USA. That was a pivotal point in 😅

I have a question; why’s the IRS still exist? It has never been ratified by 2/3 states! When established, the IRS was only allowed to collect tax and yet it is the most powerful institution part of the United States government ‼️

The situation in our country today has eclipsed the predictions of 2018. Our nation is indeed on a dark path, and besides political, social and economic upheaval, we may face the prospect of another world war. Lord help us.
