Similar event happens in southern part of India too, especially in Tamilnadu where I have seen people from nearby villages get into a pond and fish. More of showing oneness. I think this event is something being followed for long time ago so it has its footsteps across continents 👍 Thanks SLICE for this wonderful documentary 🙏

*It's so beautiful how there's still many tribes/cultures around the world who retain a very traditional way of living even in this modern age. Its sad how many of these cultures are becoming extinct due to modernization.* Im grateful that videos like this in a way, immortalize these traditions, even if they will no longer be practiced in the future.
@charlespedeson56292 жыл бұрын
That's why there are books that are written for that very purpose, to keep traditions alive. The modern world cares less for there traditions , it's religion that destroys traditions. Not just Christianity, but all religions unless they are part of this ritual, no one will know what religion it belongs to. But Christianity is the most conforming religion in the world, Christianity will allow other traditions to be incorporate into Christianity.

No one wants to evolve into such a toxic environment of mindset... it is like saying gangsters mentally and hegemonic ambitions is righteous... patriotism and cultural background is a dysfunctional dark water infested and exploited by dark capitalism economic practices... hmmmm

This culture is very devine regarding the craftsmanship, balck smith and artists. In my country Nepal hindu religion and tradition sucks regarding treating craftsmanship people. They regards craftsmanship people like blacksmith, cobblers, pottery people, tailors, sculpture people etc lower level people in society. Hindu people would loot their crafts and pay nothing. Once these hindu religion following people even classified a certain indigenous tribe as expandable people, they could put that tribe in mass extinction process either by enslaving or as forcefull making them as potters in war time and those hindu would not faced any charges as there were allowed for.

Fun fact: a true Muslim does NOT consult a diviner or fortune-teller. Anyone who does that has not grasped the true essence of being a Muslim. A true Muslim believes that Allaah is the knower of the unseen and none of His creations knows what will happen in the future. What Amadou is engaging in is in contradiction to the pure Islamic tenets.
