Man what the hat bois really really lack is not common knowledge of the game (which would help...) but goals to achieve! there is no good or bad choices in the game (e.g is piety better or fear better). Like choose a goal for yourself, unite England? spread your religion? have the most inbred family in the world? create a super child? ravage the world in war? be a non aggressive diplomat? when you try to min max crusader kings, you will be boggled down in the number game and drain your fun, just choose a goal you want and stick to it

@Rymontp4 жыл бұрын
@ I never said the opposite. There simply are no good sources suggesting that they were in fact brothers or that Ragnar Lothbrok ever existed. They most likely used it as a lie to make more norse come and fight in their war. Of course they existed, they were all army leaders and were mentioned in the Ango-Saxon Chronicle, but most stories about them or Ragnar Lothbrok are romanticised. All sources mentioning Ragnar Lothbrok contradict each other.

@stuarthenige77754 жыл бұрын
They were never fighting their allies. Trott and Ross start out both at war with Northumbria, but in separate wars. So they are competing with each other for the same land, which means their armies are actually hostile to each other. They were able to become allies after one of those wars ended.

A note on Norse pronunciation for anyone who's interested: "J"s are typically pronounced like a "Y", "Y" is typically pronounced like a "U", and the Þ or ð is typically pronounced like the "th" sound in "the".
@LeonardoJimenezHerrera4 жыл бұрын
is like French / tense German , isn't it? And while is the "the-sound", would be spoke like "thin".
@CountryMusicMann4 жыл бұрын
@@LeonardoJimenezHerrera I was speaking more as a general rule. I myself don't speak German/Norwegian/Swedish/Danish, so I don't know the technicalities of pronunciation. I'm just trying to provide a general framework so people who want to look into learning the language don't completely butcher it, you know? I know the way I've outlined Nordic pronunciation is not correct, but for the layperson who follows these simple rules, they'd probably speak clearly enough to be at least understood. It popped into my head because I'm trying to get a handle on Irish pronunciation for my DnD campaign, and I'm fascinated by the Gaelic languages, but it's a bitch trying to find clear, concise guidelines to base my understanding on.
@robbiem134 жыл бұрын
@@CountryMusicMann Yeah, the "y" sounds isn't a sound we have in english, but it's somewhere between "ee" and "oo". Try saying "eeeeeee" but slowly move your mouth to how it would be if you were saying "ooooooo" and it should end up making the right sound, ish. In terms of the "th"s, what Leon says is correct, but it's pretty intuitive; most English speakers don't realise those are actually seperate sounds and will use them correctly automatically. Try saying "Thin" with the sound that "the" starts with, or "This" with the sound in "Thing" and you'll realise there are acually two different sounds. In terms of Gaellic pronunciations, I don't speak any gaellic languages, but when I was learning Welsh pronunsiacions I found the welsh equivalent of this page: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:IPA/Irish very useful. It might actually be easier than welsh because the vowels seem to correspond to ours pretty well.
