Am I the only one who thought that was dumb as hell? I get the gesture, but that doesn't justify what a careless decision it was. All those years of sword training thrown away in an instant. With the lack of depth perception alone, she's going to struggle with a lot of things expected of her, not to mention all the other consequences given her stature. Given the different lives they lead, she needs that eye a hell of a lot more.
