GUYS - I am so dumb. The Cloud figure is a knock off and I didn’t realize it because I am a figure noob. A lovely viewer pointed out that it’s missing the official Square Enix logo and little stamp in the corner. That explains the poor quality of some of the accessories. I’m going to see if I can return it and get an authentic one. 😂

Happens a lot these days with bootlegs, don't worry about it. I'm the same with the Neca Toys God of war figures, most of them on eBay are bootlegs and it takes time to identify the genuine from the fake

Bring arts figures are really nice but their QC isn't the best, for stubborn parts like these I recommend dipping them in hot water or using a hair dryer to warm the plastic and make it more pliable that way you won't scuff your figures

I got this for someone as a Xmas gift. I took a look at it and honestly... it's OK-looking. I have the Final Fantasy VII Bring Arts version of the original FF VII Cloud and other figures and they're much better. Then again, I like the original over the remake. Phew, I talked a lot today.

Same, I had the Play Arts Kai as well and aside from Barret and Red, and Jessie as well, I wasn’t a fan of the likenesses. Sold them all off in favor of the Bring Arts, which I love the designs of. Only downside is the ridiculous pricing for what you get.

Hello! First time viewer here. Just wanted to say that you inspired me to make the same spontaneous decision to splurge on the Deluxe Editions for both games and will definitely pre-order Deluxe for the finale! Originally, I was going to get a couple “door buster deals” for Black Friday (that would probably end up just adding to the backlog and be back on sale for even cheaper by the time I could actually play them), but when you mentioned dreaming about it and what makes a “good money” purchase worth it, the decision became quite clear. The heart wants what it wants.

If a figure part's too tight either use a hairdryer to heat up the part you need to loosen up or boil some water and dip the part this will soften the part so that it would be easier to change/move.

Don’t worry, you won’t break the figure. The joints are what is known as ratchet joints, basically they have teeth, kinda like a cog from a watch, so whenever you move the joints they just click into the next position, which has its advantages and disadvantages but they mostly work very wel and are pretty sturdy. I used to have these (Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, Barret, Red, Sephiroth and Jessie) but I sold them in favor of the Bring Arts, which I like more for their size and because they match the original FF7 designs. Also congrats on the rest of your haul, the Yuffie steelbook is gorgeou!

Paying $70 dollars on a game is a lot of money and if it’s brand new I expect it to be in absolute mint condition with no dents or dings or tears in the artwork. So I completely understand! I will return it until I get a copy that meets those standards.

pro tip as ff7 collector - dont open the art book many times because it will ruin the hardcover prints also squareenix figurines are always low quallity with hardy daytona & clouds hands & tifas etc .. and make sure to seperate the deluxe box away from anything it gets scratched very easily becuase of the material .

Was super lucky to find a UK retailer still had 3 copies of FFVII Rebirth deluxe edition and they were still selling them at retail price so i snatched that up instantly lol. Regarding the "Scratch" on the steelbook for Rebirth - I literally have the same mark in the same exact spot on my steelbook. So i think thats more of a factory defect than it is a scratch! Hope that makes you feel a little better about it.

We would loved to see a full Rebirth review like your Zelda's Miky!! :) A way that you can capture gameplay footage of Rebirth is to use the Share function of your ps5. When you press it in game you can save gameplay up to 15mins of footage to your capture gallery. You can trim the video on your ps5 if you want. Then you can link your youtube account to your PSN account and upload the videos in private. Then you can download them from your youtube channel to your Mac computer and edit them on whatever software you are using for your videos! :) I know it sounds a lot, but it is actually easy process. You can find tutorials somewhere on youtube.

Please don't use an exacto knife on figures. When accessories or hands don't fit, use a hairdryer or warm water to soften the plastic, and they will go in. This is standard for any figure but especially these Play Arts Kai ones (I own them all), regardless of whether this is a knockoff or not.
